What's in a username?

Well mines is the same name of the first track on the first cassette tape I've ever owned named "Illmatic" and represents my environment, etc.

No Lu.......

Actually your username comes from your love of "Virgin State of Mind," that great song off of that great episode, Dopplegangland.

You're from New York, so you changed "Virgin" to "New York."

That's seriously what I always thought! 😉

:O you figured it out ;)
What's in my username?

My name, duh. But instead of just a simple 'Jade' I added in the 'Jay' to it because my friends normally tend to call me Jay Jay or Jay Jade.
They got the Jay because it fits with Jade and one time I got a jay feather in my hair, so others got it from that. So it's a pretty short story I guess

Well as some people might remember my first username was yeti, but I never thought it fit me. I made an account on a differnt online game for my friend named after his hampster (because we could not think of any thing else.) But he never played so I took over the account, and that just became my username for everything.
But then I wanted to change it to something more Buffy-y but also I relate to in my everyday life. And *BAM* Seeing Red was there, it was such a passionate and sad episode which is something I can relate to.

Yeah, Seeing Red suits you better than yeti :D
Mine's the name of a character from Philip Pullman's book series 'His Dark Materials'. I loved the books as a teenager and when it came to creating my first email address - I chose the name xaphania as I thought it sounded cool.

Since then it's stuck and I've used it pretty much everywhere that I needed to sign up for something fandomy. I sometimes tack my real first name onto the front of it - amyxaphania - to differentiate between myself and other people with this username, for example on twitter and livejournal - but there was no need for that here. 🙂

Mine's from the second half of my old email address, which originally came from the name of some nail polish on my computer desk

Lol that's random
Mine's obvious too, I guess.. I love Spike.. I've always wanted someone to call me Goldilocks - but sadly enough, I'm a brunette 🙂

Goldilocks was my dad's nickname for me when I was younger.

Krystle calls me Goldilocks even though I'm brunette... just curl your hair. :p
My user name JCoatsworth stems from a character called Jefferson Coatsworth from the How I Met Your Mother episode I'm Not That Guy.
It's one of my favorite episodes of the show and Jeff Coatsworth is just an über-cool guy 😀
He's so funny and when I created my account I decided to use this name because it was something special and I doubted there was anyone who had a similar name.
Yep, that's pretty much my story.

Fair enough, you want the best of both worlds! I know lots that say the are bisexual for attention and actually aren't, but as you're not an attention seeker at all I don't think that applies to you :)
The original White Avenger was Talan, my D&D character many, many years ago, an elfin warrior who sought revenge for the death of his entire family, who always dressed in white and wore golden armor and weapons. Later, it was the name of my white 1963 P1800 Volvo, and finally it wound up as my name here.

Well...my actuall name is Scarlett, and on all other sites that I am a member of, I always add a word at the end that somehow relates to the site: ie. scarlettrouge, scarlettrose, scarlettrogue, etc. I couldn't really think of a good word to put at the end for this site, but then I thought of that red axe that Buffy used to fight those uber-vamps, and so thus sprang the name Scarlett Blade.

Awesome name!
My username holds no great mysteries.
When I first registered here, I wanted to use "The Master", but it was already taken. So I switched "The" to "Old" (because...well...the character is old, and so am I), and voila.

A few weeks later I left the BB for some strange reason I no longer remember, and I requested my account be deleted. But the addiction to this place had taken hold, and after three months away from here, I ended up re-registering with my old name and added a "2.0" to it to denote my second incarnation. 😛

"3.0" denotes the third version of "Old Master" after my ascension to Mod and later SuperMod status. :: tu :: 😛

OhWow
When will there be a 4.0??
First my username was just my name. And then another BB member, Steph called me Abbeycat. So I changed it to Abbeycat.

Not too much to it.😛

Mine is an Oasis song, Cast No Shadow. I love the song and love Oasis 🙂

I always wondered if that was an Oasis reference

I've always thought it would be awesome if it was an Oasis reference but at the same time didn't think it was. Colour me impressed.

Oh..I thought it was something deep and mysterious, but it's just a song! :)
Mine is a combination of my real name and a nickname I was given by a girl I liked a long time ago. Although it didn't work out well at all, it's still the only time anybody's given me a nickname so I tend to cling to it a bit.

My last name is Brink and lots of people call me Brink or Brinkster so I started using Brinkster130 for my usernames. (I added on the 130 because Brinkster was often taken)

Well, I'll indulge and share my story, but mine is not a particulairly interesting one, lol.

I choose my username because "Tabula Rasa" is my favorite episode, and I had previously opened another account on another forum with the same name, and I wanted consistancy so fans would reconize me all over the fandom.
As for as I know, I'm the only "Joan" or "Joan the Vampire Slayer" around these parts.

I love your banner!
Mine was from mucking around one night at work. We were giving out Quokka newspapers and I was telling my workmate about my weekend or something. He said I was really ocker then started calling me Ocker Quokka. I was sick of boring old "Aussie" so I decided to change it here. I changed the spelling cos OckerQuokka looked too much like cockerquokka to me and I knew no one else would have this name.
