What's In Your Pockets?

This is primarily for the ladies, but anyone feel free to answer or add a comment.

Ladies, when you are wearing jeans, pants, trousers, shorts, or basically ANY garment with pockets, do you carry anything in those pockets? Whenever my wife and I go out anywhere, unless she is carrying a purse, she never carries anything. Not even keys, I D, or money, and this seems to be the norm for every woman that I know.

Men almost invariably have their pockets stuffed with keys, wallet, change, and whatever other little items that they might need, so why don't women do the same thing?
 
If I'm not taking a bag with me, then I'll take what I need in my pockets, depending on if I'm wearing a coat or not. If I have my coat then, I have my keys, phone, money and mp3 player, if I'm not wearing a coat then it's usually the same but without the keys and/or money
 
Granted, I never carried a purse until I was almost 21, but my world is in my purse. Sometimes when I go out on the town and don't want to lug something, I put my money, ID, and maybe gum in my pocket.

On any given day, there's usually just chapstick or lip gloss.
 
I never have anything in my pockets. Unless I'm around the house when I might stuff a lipbalm in there.Otherwise its all in my bag.

I actually have a chain wallet. It's usually in my back right pocket.

Sometimes I just don't want to lug my purse around all over the place. Especially when I am shopping and have to lug a bunch of other things all over the place.
 
Well the women in my family don't cause usually the pants are tight and so is the small pockets on them and obviously also cause they're accustomed to purses

I couldn't walk around like that...my pockets stay filled with crap 😛 but in an organized way

Be careful doing this, because I once had my coat stolen off the back of my chair in a restaurant, with my CD player in it.

If I don't have my purse, its usually keys, some cash, and maybe an id (definately an id if we are going out). I never take a purse if we are actually going out (like to a bar, club, sporting event, etc.) And if I don't happen to have pockets you can find all of my stash of items in my husband's pockets. 🙂

I hate carrying a purse though and have a habit of losing them, so unless I'm going to work or somewhere easy (like dinner or a friend's) I keep it to a minimum.
 
I never have anything in my pockets, and like your wife, if I leave without my purse for whatever reason (usually that my husband is driving and has his wallet) I still don't put anything in my pockets.
 
I don't like purses or handbags so I keep my keys, ipod, phone, etc in my jacket pockets. They're zipped up so it's hard to get pick-pocketed and I always rest my legs on it when seated so it's never stolen. I sometimes have a little cowprint backpack type thing if I'm going anywhere important though.
 
I wear men's clothing. I know that seems strange but I just don't like a majority of the clothing for women. Women's pockets are usually small in the front but large on the seats. I don't enjoy this setup.
I have my wallet, phone, Swiss Army knife, and my pepper-spray.

A woman who carry's her OWN SWISS ARMY KNIFE!!! If I weren't happily married, I'd come a'courtin'.
I keep everything in my bag, but if I'm just popping round the shop, I'll take my money/debit card, keys and phone in my pocket. Though a lot of the clothes I wear don't even have pockets so my bag is always with me.
 
I don't wear mens clothing so my clothing isn't designed for things to be carried in the pocket. If I happen to be wearing a dress with big baggy pockets then sometimes a lighter will live in there but that is it.

If you add anything more than that then it makes you look lumpy in all the wrong places. Lets face it - how many women are trying to make their thighs/hips look bigger?
 
I never have anything in my pockets. Occasionally I will stick a chap-stick in a pocket while I'm at home - but if I go out I always have a purse.
 
I keep everything in my pockets. I started that in middle school because taking the train to school everyday I didnt want my valuables stolen (cellphone, ipod, money) and because girls jeans are very tight and small if anyone reached into my pocket I'd know lol The one time I left my ipod in my backpack it was stolen on the train.

Now that I'm older I have a purse, I keep my wallet in there with no money in it lmao and books, papers, random crap. But I still keep my cellphone, lipgloss, debit card, and cash in my front jean pockets lol ...and sometimes a pen lol
 
I keep my cellphone in my pocket. I don't even know why. I have a purse, I can put it in there. I guess I know I can get to it faster if I have it in my pocket.
 
Nope! They're either non-existent, or would create too much of a bulge which is not ok! Coat pockets are fair game though, if they're deep enough and can hide the outline of the item.
 
Nothing's in my pocket. Though if I'm sick then I stuff my pockets with tissues. Or if I'm going somewhere where I don't really need my bag, or can't be bothered with it, then I stuff my phone into my jean pocket, and maybe a $20, just cause you never know when you'll need it.
