In Lamaist Buddhism as practiced in Tibet, hell was considered to be a glacial mountain stream with ice floes in it.
 
Its a Christmas Miracle! Its raining on Christmas day!!! Yaaaayyyy Im so relieved for this rain. Its barely a sprinkle and i will still have to water the garden, but my body is no longer on boiling and it is delightful! Woooooo!

Honestly sometimes I rekon I was born in hell, its down under, filled with snakes and hot as fire!

Nice, warm rain today - well, 40s (F) rather than 20s. The glaze of ice melted away, hurrah! I am very content with a rainy Christmas, so I'm with @Octavia about that. (Though Christmas is still 7-1/2 hours away here at this writing.) And my car still started, what a relief. I bought it a long-handled ice scraper as a present. So now it will probably never snow/freeze again!
 
Google weather is a worse liar this year than ever. It used to at least get within 5C of the real temp, but today it was 10C out! Got to 33C again.

Started off lovely and cool this morning but its really warmed up again. The wind will keep the temp down, so maybe about 28C today.

There was an Outer Limits epi that was similar to that. It took the skills and memories from people in a nursing home and transferred them into the brains of paying customers.

Was quite cool this morning! 8C when I got outside, 10C when I went to go back in. Now its about 18C and rising as the sun does.
 
38C/100f 🥵 the air con is working hard. Not helped by doggos who do not want to be stuck in one room all arvo and so they keep leaving the room and leaving the doors open. I just went outside briefly to take them loo and I cannot believe that I used to work in this kind of heat for months at a time. I just about perished after 4 minutes!

I quite like the cold when its January and late December. Especially January there is something new and fresh in the cold air.
 
Sticky and cloudy today. Not sure if the clouds will stay. Temp gauge says 20C at 6.30am.
 
Surprisingly good weather! I think it was like….50 today? It felt great outside. Didn’t even need a coat, and the snow had all melted.
 
We'll get a warm New Years Eve. 5-6°C.

We got a total fire ban today, total harvest/tool/vehicle ban. I knew the heat was coming, but did not expect this storm! Rolling thunder, lightning but no real rain. Had a few bouts of hail/big raindrops, but nothing to wet the soil or dry scrub. I usually  love storms, but this one is proper scary. One of those days I did wish I was prepared for fire evac lol. Maybe I should get on that.
 
It is POURING rain here! Very unusual for Los Angeles. Heavy, heavy rain right now, very loud. I bet a thunderstorm is coming.....thank God I'm indoors. There's so many people who have no where to live. I can't IMAGINE what it must be like to be out in that horrible weather. 😥
