Whats This Word?!

Ok I'm in the middle of writing something and I just can't think of the word I want to use. Ok it's like if I asked you what day it was, you were busy looking at two birds fight and your just like "Tuesday" but you don't look at me or acknowladge me. How do I put that in a sentecne like:

"It's Tuesday" BB said (enter word here) looking at two birds fight.

Please could someone help cause this is driving me insane! ::rm:: ::crying:: ::skull:: ::devil:: :: blond :
 
Distractedly (Probably not an actual word. I can't find it in my dictionary, but I'd use it. I don't mind breaking rules of grammar, if I'm aware of the rules existence. That way I'm not ignorant, just a rebel)

or

"It's Tuesday" BB said, mind on other matters, watching two birds fight.

or

"It's Tuesday" BB said, distracted, intent on watching two birds fight.

or

"It's Tuesday" said BB, only half-listening, her attention diverted to two angry, little birds, outside the patio door, squabbling over a fat worm.
 
Thanks N4H. Think I'll use your last example untill I remember what this mystery word is (if it even exists).

These are all very good choices!

I'd add "absently" to the list.
 
Just saw your sig KD. I have to go OT for a brief sec. and tell you, I'm a Flames fan now too (I don't even miss the Canucks, otherwise known as the Swedish ice-dancing team). The Flames play old style, grit and tenacity Canadian hockey. Go Flames.

Well, just to stay OT, I've suffered a lot thru the 90's with this team...and now, it's all worth it! Welcome to the Un-nancy Tribe!🙂
