Aussie rules is quite homoerotic. Many grubby, muddy men running around in tiny shorts and singlets, tackling each other and dropkicking goals. Entertaining, even if your team loses. Not footy season here yet. Cricket looks far more civilised.

Cricket, a sport played on a field of freshly mown grass in the height of pollen season.

Just the thing to play if you get hayfever!

Technically its only cheating in the same way praying for your team to win is cheating. Or witches trying (and failing) to cast a spell cursing a presidential candidate is cheating.
If it works? Kudos; you've successfully called on dark forces to work your will. If it fails then you're clearly a plonker whom the higher powers choose to ignore.
That's presuming any of it is real.

Interestingly, in the USA this could actually be a crime (attempted assault). While factual impossibility is a defense against committing a crime, it's not a defense against an attempt charge. The classic example: Person A decides to kill Person B. A sneaks into B's house, sees B under the covers, and shoots B several time. But B was actually elsewhere and this was just a pile of pillows. A has still committed the crime of attempted murder, since the fact that B wasn't there is irrelevant to the attempt citation.

Don't get me wrong, I suspect you'd never get a prosecutor to take the case, and it would almost certainly require the suspect openly admitting that they truly believed it would work.

Absolutely agree.

Put my bear in the washing machine and he survived!! Used lots of fabric softener, of course. Then I put him in the dryer (delicate cycle!) with about 8 dryer sheets. He smells soooo good...though I think he has PTSD now. 💕

As Black Bears go, that one has a problem, obviously allergic to soap powder.
From NO:24, (@November) said about another plane crash
and on NO:25 Anyanka said
she had multiple conspiracy theories about the plane crashes,
now about the cat poking its head through the square in the ceiling, can you see Anyanka's hand holding the cats head, did you ever realize that there was no body to the cat?
Them damned plane crashes.

Neighbours is cancelled again. The cast are going to have to do another uk tour again now, and they've only just done the not cancelled tour!

Nooooooooooooooooooooooo!! I mean, its not a surprise. Yesterdays episode involved threesome jokes with the old lady. But still, I hate to see it go off air 🙁

I have an old, manual can opener and let me tell you, trying to open anything is beyond frustrating. It will pierce the top of a can, but that's it. I became SO annoyed, I just got a hammer and screwdriver to completely open the can. This wasn't the perfect solution, since I pretty much destroyed the can (and some of the tuna) while opening it. 😄

Things have gotten so bad with food cans lately that my daughter got a can opener that cuts the top of the can open at the side. In most cases, the normal can opener just spins without getting any traction. The biggest part of making chili is opening about ten cans. Now we can do it, but it leaves sharp edges on the open cans.

I take it none of these are the easy open cans we get which have a pull ring to open them? Most of our cans seem to be those these days. An opener is still useful, though, for those times when you accidentally snap the ring off.

Tuna cans here have to be opened with a tin opener. I pick it up and the cat automatically appears next to me expecting tuna.

Normally I have a tin of tuna in the cupboard, but it looks like I don't at the moment. And I couldn't remember if they were ring pull or not.
The little tins have pull tabs, the big tins don't. I use my can opener all the time haha. I think it's from the 80's

The pull ring isn't on everything, unfortunately. By the time I managed to "open" that tuna can, it looked like it'd been ran over by a semi. Smashed, jagged edges, holes here and there. I don't recommend using a screwdriver and hammer to open a can. Not worth the effort...unless there's cocaine in there. 🥳

You could have used your truck rather than a semi...
I dreamt there was a starfall in Australia so I went outside and all the satellites and drone cameras got in the way. Then they crashed into each other and bits of metal started falling from the sky, impaling everyone it hit.
