since seeing underworld 2 i was woundering what vampire movies you like ?
feel free to comment on any movies i might have mist out. :grim: :sheep:

Don't know there are just so many and I love em all. Have to say that I quiet liked the first Underworld or at least bits of it.

Otherwise....

Nosferatu - It is after all a classic and it does work.
Shadow of the Vampire - Great movie. Is set during the filming of Nosferatu and is...I don't know why really, but great movie. Besides Willem Defoe is really good as Max Schreck, both scary and sad.

Then we've got The Hunger because of David Bowie's, and From Dusk til Dawn just because it's so gory and fun and the sprinkler blood scene in Blade makes that almost into a good movie.

I love From Dusk Till Dawn! Fun movie!
To be honest I'm rather disappointed of An INterview with a Vampire, it's just very blah and nothing really happens and it's rather boring. Plus it's got a freaky Kirsten Dunst and Tom Cruise, which sure makes it a bit scary, but not scary enough for me to like it.

I can't vote because I'm undecided. I liked all of them (haven't seen underworld 2 yet) in different ways. I think Nosferatu is hugely atmospheric, a great movie given when it was made. If that was on the list I'd pick that.

How about any of the versions of Dracula? Frank Langela was great in the 1979 version.

Or, what about Vampire's Kiss staring Nicolas Cage?

Well I chose Blade but if I'm completely honest my ultimate favourite Vampire Movies aren't on here!

I loved The Lost Boys and Queen of the Damned a lot! They are my favourites really, but I also liked Blade. I didn't really like Blade 2 and I was surprised to see Underworld on the list as I really didn't like that Movie. I bought it because it was about Vampires and it sounded good, but when I saw it I just wasn't impressed.

As for Interview with a Vampire, I expected more from it! It was a tad dissappointing for me.

The Lost Boys rocks!
I couldn't possibly vote for only one flick, as their are so many worthy candidates in this area.

I like the choice of "Shadow Of The Vampire", made by Jollyape. That was a rather unusual and underrated film and is worth a look.

But no vamp movie list should go without at least a mention of the seminal "Fright Night". That sleeper hit reenergized the flagging vampire movie genre.

Does anybody like "Bram Stoker's Dracula"? Coppola directed. It's almost too much. It's so very operatic, and...baroque? I don't know what you'd call it exactly. Sometimes the mood, dread created is fantastic. And it's beautiful to look at at times. The story's kind of a sprawling mess in this version. Gary Oldman was...interesting, a little bit overheated. Keanu was...horrible. Just horrible.

Fright Night is a great sort of horror/comedy. I like it.

I saw it straight after I had read the book and honestly goldenboy, I hated it!!!

I just didn't find it anything like the book, it was far to confused! I watched it with my cousin who had never read the book and I spent half my time explaining it to him! I wasn't a fan of BS Dracula!

I haven't seen any of the other Vamp movies mentioned above, but I might get them on rental to see what they are like.

I like Van helsing its got vampires (Dracula) werewolfs, frankenstein and van helsing himself its a fantastic film. Plus I havent seen many vampire movies.

Sadly, out of those, I've only seen the last few minutes of "Blade", so I can't really vote 🙁

BUT I did just watch "Queen of the Damned" not too long ago, which I really liked... although I found it a little.... well I wouldn't say pointless, I just didn't 'get' the whole purpose of the plot lol 😉. But it was really good all the same!

I voted 'Van Helsing' because I thought it was a good film, but heck, how come 'Dracula, Dead and Loving it' isn't on? That was one hell of a movie! Comedy horror. That would have been my best Vamp movie!

I chose blade, i am not so keen on the sequels, but Blade was awesome, when Whistler died i cried alot lol.

aw dude that movies cool ( dracular dead and loving it ) they guy of naked gun such a cool movie !!!!!! i think the guy of aly mcbeals on there too....cant remember.

There haven't been any great vampire movies for me.

Van Helsing-sucky movie, one of the worst I've seen

Blade-fine, nice, but not that good

Interview with the Vampire-book is better, but a nice adaption, lush and lovely, good mythology, nice interaction between Claudia, Louis & Lestat

I'm a recent aficianado of vamp movies, haven't seen that many of them yet. Interview With The Vampire was ok...the book was better, except I did like the end. I haven't seen Van Helsing yet, going to rent it tomorrow. Just came from seing Underworld: Evolution. I liked it, but I liked the first one better. Ahhhh, Blade! I've only seen parts of the first one, something else I need to rent.

the second underworld was more action, not as good set out story line as first one, action kinda blinds you to story, like... oh so this happens...( kate becansale naked) then its like?? ermmm story hows it go again 🙂 lol 😀
