Well mine is season two so much happens:

1. You get to see Angel and Angelus
2. Spike and Dru are present.
3. We see Kendra
4. We see Kendra die.
5. Miss Calender dies
6. Spike teams with Buffy
7. Angel goes to hell

These are the reasons why I like Buffy season two most of all.

What do you guys think?

I say season two as well, Angel and Angelus which means David Boreanaz in leather *drools*, Spike and dru, Angel and Buffy sleep together... I dont like the whole Angel going to hell business though

My favorite season is season 3. It was great because it had a lot of character interaction. In this season there were a lot of regulars and yet Buffy interacted with most of them. Of course Willow, Xander, and Giles. She also had the relationship with Angel and her and Cordy were always bitching at each other. I also loved the addition of Faith, Oz, Anya, and Wesley. The Mayor was also a great villian for the season. There were a lot of great things this season and it would probably take me a long time to list them all.

Couldn't agree more!
Ohhh i cant pick, i have seven to choose from.
Seasons with poorly executed overall arcs have the strongest episodes, the ones with strong arcs have dud ones....soi can't choose....i wont choose and i have new shoes.....

Im in two minds. I love season 5. Everything about it is brilliant. We see Joyce die, we see Buffy die, we see lots of great episodes and the lighting and make-up and hair is way better than any other season IMO. Although, I do love season 6. I love every episode in Season 6, AND theres a whole lotta Spuffy goodness 😉

S6 is definitly my fave season...i mean, it just has loads of good story arcs...
Spike and Buffy
Evil Willow
The Nerds (they made me laugh)
the wedding that wasn't
Buffy trying to cope with life after death.
and some of my fave eps are in this season...Normal Again, OMWF, Tebula Rasa and Life Seriel

I loved Season 5, 6 and 7. Season 5 mainly for the 'The Gift', that was just a superb finale. Season 6...it had so many great storylines; OMWF, Tabula Rasa...and Season 7, probably because it was the final season, and even though most of it was dedicated to the potentials, I still felt like it was a great season. It just felt right.

Personally I think, seasons 2, 3 and 6 are the best seasons. Best written, best acted, etc..

Season 6 is my favourite, for a couple of reasons. One of those reasons being its the first season I watched. Its the season that got me hooked, and I think I can pinpoint it to a single moment. Its the little moments in a thing that get me. Character arcs and plots and the intelligence of a thing are all good and well, but a simple image or a phrase hooks me. Buffy watching her friends at the end of season 2, and then walking away. Angel and Buffy staring at each other, and then him backing into the shadows, at the end of season 3. Season 6, for me just had more moments than any other season.

Bargaining part 1 and 2, I didn't think were particularly great. There was nothing in it that had me thinking wow. Afterlife had the first "moment". A very simple line from Spike.

SPIKE: But I want you to know I did save you. Not when it counted, of course, but ... after that. Every night after that. I'd see it all again ... do something different. Faster or more clever, you know? Dozens of times, lots of different ways ... (softly) Every night I save you.

When he said "Every night I save you", that got me completely hooked. His delivery, his expression.

Well I can't choose just one, it is a three way tie easy for me on seasons 3, 6 and 7. Even tho 7 had a lot of the 'mini' slayers as I like to call them, it was the end, and a new beginning in a way, brilliant. The whole darn series was brilliant!

Hmmm, gotta say season 2 was my favourite, 'cos
a) it's when I knew I was onto something only a few people really understood and loved - even now people still think I'm bonkers for loving Buffy. When are they going to learn! The other day my friend, a sci fi fan, said he had really enjoyed watching Firefly, because 'it's quite funny and really well written'. I'm afraid I had to say 'like, 'duh', why do you think Buffy is so popular?!?! All hail Joss!' ..... i'm gonna convert him so fast he won't even see it coming. God I miss Buffy.

b) there is soooo much semi naked Angel/Angelus that... well, I won't say what it does to me, but it's gooooood. I could show you, but there doesn't appear to be a smilie for 'randy as a stoat.' Could someone address that problem please? Anyhoo.... those leather trousers. mmmmmmmmmbadboyinskintightpantsmmmmmmmmmmm :: red :: :lick: ::drool::

c) some great acting by SMG. And a big rocket launcher. How cool was that!

4) Spike. A little less ritual and a little more fun. And didn't he just: grinyes

Must go watch some season 2 RIGHT NOW!!!!

My order (including Angel):

AtS 5
(large gap)
AtS 2
AtS 3
AtS 4
AtS 1
Btvs 4
Btvs 3
Btvs 2
Btvs 1
Btvs 5
Btvs 6
(larger gap)
Btvs 7

Changes frequently- I would have put Angel season 1 higher until my last watching where the lack of an arc struck me harder than before. Likewise with Buffy season 5, used to be my #2, but various things annoyed meoan my last watching, such as no Oz or Faith (my fave 2 Btvs characters), Dawn seeming more irritating than I remember and even Glory seeming a lot less cool than she used to.

Putting season 4 top isn't a popular decision I know, but there's little contest for me, I just love it. Yeh ok so Riley was a bad Angel replacement. But this was the only season with Oz, Faith and Spike (not including Spikes brief season 3 appearence), I thought Adam was cool and it has my fave standalones (Fear Itself among others). I'm aware of it's problems, and I'm certainly not trying to argue that it's the 'best' Buffy season, but I enjoy it the most.

Angel season 5 is far and away my favourite of all. I've gone into reasons before and I don't care on repeating myself but I just loved the characters invloved and the way it dealt with much bigger things than previous seasons.
