Not really the big arcs, more just moments you weren't expecting. They don't have to be anything really major. The most obvious one for me was Angel showing up unexpected in "Forever", but I'm in the middle of rewatching S4 of Angel, and when he was his perfect reality in order to lose his soul again, when he and Cordy are together, he breaths out Buffy's name at the...peak of it all. I didn't remember that from the first time I watched the series, and it just made me realize that Buffy is always in his head.

What are some of your favorites?

I don't remember that scene. What episode in s4 is that from?
When Angel showed up in "Forever", I thought that was the moment that proved Buffy and Angel were meant to be together. At first I thought "What is Buffy waiting for? Why is she just standing there?" I thought she was in shock or something... but then the hand slipped into hers and I got it, and I thought it was absolutely beautiful that she knew to wait for Angel because she knew without a doubt he would be there for her.

I don't want to go off-topic, but I always thought that what happened reminded him the first time he lost his soul, that's why he said Buffy at that exact moment, because that's also the moment he becomes soulless again. But I might be wrong.

Anyway, my favorite would be the moment when Angel suddenly becomes more or less himself in Beauty and the Beasts and grabs her around the legs as she starts crying.

I always enjoyed Angel's appearance and his interaction with Buffy at the end of season 7 in "End of Days" and "Chosen". It was a pleasant surprise the first time I watched season 7, even though kind of bittersweet for the Bangel supporter in me.
