What's your first Buffy memory?

I was watching something random on a channel, quite late at night, and they had commercials, so I changed channel and the one I was on showed Buffy kissing Angel, then killing him with a sword... I had heard my friends talking about Buffy before but always though it was dumb... that scene got me hooked... so from then on I watched the show... first I ever saw entirely was Anne. :silly:

Mine was during season 3 my brother came to live with us and i complained because he wanted to watch this stupid television show..and i like hated it the first 2 episodes i watched after that i was hooked lol
 
Yeah I purposely said Buffy on tv so as to not be confused with the movie...but I loved the movie in high school (even if it was bad 😉) and I own it on VHS and DVD lol. So when I saw they were making a show I was really excited and that was why I watched 😉

Yeah, and even then, with the horrible voices and bad translation, it still got me hooked! hehe that shows how good the show is eh! :silly:
 
My first Buffy memory is watching it in the afternoons when I got home from school, I think it was season 2, but I thought it was really silly in the beginning and didn't really want to admit that I was watching it..
 
Well, I think I had watched "Witch" in short passing, because Buffy's shoes moving on the floor with the other cheerleaders (that's also in the opening credits) has always stuck in my mind. I think this was watching just in passing, channel surfing or what not.

Then, I was flipping again, and saw a preview for Surprise/Innocence. It was just a commercial on the WB, but it looked so frickin cool. I really wanted to watch it. I did, and as they say, history was made! Dedicated watcher since then, even when I didn't get the WB and had to have my grandma tape it and put the kids to bed early when I was babysitting so I could watch it.

I watched season 2 on/off without really watching it, but I remember watching the episode of season 3 where angel comes back and I was just like, eh wow and was hooked.
 
Ok, I'm not ashamed to admit it. When Buffy was still running I had like rituals.

Before the show started I had the phone pulled, a tape in the VCR, and a big bowl of popcorn ready which I wouldn't touch until I heard the music. All the lights, but one were shut off. Once the show began that light went off too.

When it was over, I would get on the internet, and come here to read the comments.

A friend told me about Buffy, he thought I'd like it. He also recommended one of the Star Trek shows, so naturally I concluded that he was a moron and that Buffy would suck.

The first thing I remember about a Buffy episode is being annoyed that the show didn't take itself seriously.
 
I don't remember what ep it was, but I do remember it was s5. I was home sick from work one day and flipping channels. I ran across Buffy on FX and whatever scene was playing it immediately gripped me! I'd heard of Buffy (a former coworker was a huge fan) before but wasn't interested. From the moment I saw it that day, I was hooked. I started recording it every day and watching after work. FX only showed it Monday - Friday, tho, and I was so addicted that I had to go rent the DVDs for the next few eps to tide me over the weekend. I finally just bought them, all the seasons, in the space of about a month, so I could quit wasting money renting!

My daughter's gotten in to Buffy recently, too......ahhh, my work here is done! LOL! :lmao:
 
Angel was the first episode I watched, but wasn't really hooked until Season3 when we got the WB. Became hooked, but not as hooked as my girlfriend 😛
 
I've told this story before, so if you've heard it, feel free to ignore me...😉

I was watching a show called First Wave on the "Space" channel. I'd get up after it was over and do what I needed to do before it was bedtime. One time, I left the TV on, and I heard the most haunting TV theme I'd ever heard...I walked back to the TV to see...Angel...Season 2 was starting. I watched it sporadically for the next year, knowing it came from Buffy but not really all that interested in catching up. Then Buffy died, and they started talking about a musical ep, and I figured "I gotta see this". At that time, Space started to play Buffy S1 to S5 in repeats...so I taped 'em all...and watched them all in enough time to have caught up by the time Once More With Feeling aired the first time. I went to another board at first, but it folded...I came here, and the rest is pretty much history...

Loved the last season of First Wave
My cousin was babysitting me and I was about 6 or 7 years old. My parents were at a movie and she loved the show at the time and it was during Season 3. It was Graduation Day Part 1. I thought it was really cool, but I forgot about, but when I was about 8 I saw that it was replaying on FX so I watched episodes on the channel.
 
I was just flipping through channels when I was 8 and I happened upon the premire of Buffy, I just moved to the US and instantly fell in love with it. My parents let me stay up and watch it and I was hooked ever since.

I was flipping through channels and I saw something called Buffy the Vampire Slayer. So I thought it might be interesting. It was Bargaing Part 1, the opening scene. With Spike, Giles, and Tara running through the graveyard.

When Tara asks about the medication, is when I fell in love with the show.
 
My first memory was of course the movie in 92 which I actually liked, because I always loved all things about vampires, and that's why I tuned in, because it said Buffy the Vampire Slayer and the keyword was vampire. And then years later when I heard it was being made into a tv show I got excited and tuned in on the first day March 10, 1997 and have been watching it faithfully since.
 
I heard about the Dracula episode (during the original airings) and decided to watch it since it made sense for a vampire slayer to meet the most famous vampire.
Of course back then it didn't make sense to me (since I didn't watch the first four seasons) or why she meeets the most famous vampire in season five...and not earlier.
