I was really surprised to see Alexis Denisof (as Annihilus/The Other) and Enver Gjokaj (as a "Young Cop") on the cast list for The Avengers. Check out the list and see if there's anybody I'm missing.

I didnt realise that Alexis was in it either until I checked imdb.
 
I noticed Enver Gjokaj was the cop, but I only so Alexis' name in the closing credits.
Isn't The Other the guy who gives Loki his instructions? I think his voice is the first thing we hear in the movie.
But I really wouldn't know, since it wasn't Alexis' voice in the German version. 🙁
 
I didn't know he was in this...But honestly, it doesn't surprise me. Is there anything that Whedon has made at all that doesn't have at least ONE person from his shows in it?

He does, LOL. I think it's pretty awesome, though. A lot of his actors never get as much work as they should, anyway! It's sad. I love that he never forgets them.
Many directors cast their friends in movies. Martin Scorcese has cast Robert DeNiro in Taxi Driver, Casino and GoodFellas and probably even a few more, I don't know.
Quentin Tarantino frequently casts Sam Jackson, Uma Thurman and Michael Madsen.
Christopher Nolan has his favorites as well. For example Tom Hardy, Cillian Murphy and Marion Cotillard.
Even Hitchcock had his regulars, like James Stewart.

I think it's a good thing. You know what you get. I'd cast my friends as well, if I was a director. It's probably also more fun working with your pals.

I don't think you'll actually see him. I think he wears a mask and stuff. But I'm not sure.
Edit: I just looked in the Internet. You wouldn't recognize him, but you can hear his voice.

I just noticed Jeremy Renner, who plays Hawkeye, was also Penn on Angel. 😀
 
Alexis is in The Avengers?

Ok I was just reading about The Avengers on IMDB and it has Alexis under the cast list for the role of The Other, it's also the same on Wikipedia. Did anyone else know this?!

I've put this down as a spoiler so it doesn't spoil the plot of characters for those who haven't seen the film yet. I've already seen it and honestly didn't pick up that it was Alexis doing the voice, I shall be watching closely on Sunday when I see it again.
 
Yes, I read it in the closing credits, but since I saw it in Germany, it wasn't his voice after all.
I watched the beginning again in the internet, but it's practically impossible for me to recognize his voice. It's destorted and full of effects and stuff.
 
I've only just notice that Enver Gjokaj plays the young cop in this and I've watched it at least 6 times!

Lol, I noticed it the first time but it might be because I have a bit of a "thing" for him 🙂
