Here is Herc for Aint It Cool's updated list of where the Buffy/Angel writers will land for the fall of 2004 season.

(The David Fury story has yet to be confirmed from other sources)

Jeff Bell (Joss Whedon's co-writer on the spectacular "Angel" series finale) is headed to "Alias."

Liz Craft & Sarah Fain (they scripted Hamilton's introduction in the five-star "Underneath") have been asked to join "The Shield."

Steve DeKnight is headed to "Smallville."

Jane Espenson ("Earshot," "The Replacement," "I Was Made To Love You"), who worked on both "The O.C." and "Gilmore Girls" last year, is joining "Tru Calling" as part of her two-year deal with Fox.

David Fury ("Gone," "Lies My Parents Told Me," "You're Welcome," "Power Play") has signed aboard "Lost."

Drew Goddard is headed to "Alias."

Drew Z. Greenberg ("Him," "The Killer in Me," "Empty Places"), who was scripting "Smallville" last season, is joining "The O.C."

Rebecca Rand Kirshner ("Help," "Touched"), a "Freaks & Geeks" vet who was on "Las Vegas" this season, is joining "Gilmore Girls."

Doug Petrie ("As You Were," "End of Days"), who worked on both "Tru Calling" and an aborted "Lost in Space" series for the WB this season, is said to be taking the year off from TV next season to work on movie projects (Petrie, some will recall, wrote "Harriet the Spy" and drafted an early screenplay for "The Fantastic Four").

The one that interests me is Alias.

I was never able to get into that show, but with Jeff Bell and "The Ultimate Drew" getting involved I'm going to give it another try.

The WB is considering a mid-season replacement called Global Frequency. Read about it here Global Frequency

It's the one idea coming out of Warner Bros that might not totally suck.

OK here's the rumour. Ben Edlund (Smile Time) might write for it, and the rumour further suggests Buffy/Angel actors are interested in appearing on the show.
 
Global Frequency does look interesting. Any opinions on the original comic? (it's been a while since I hit the local funny book emporium😉)
 
I've never seen the Global Frequency comic, so I can't help you there, but there's a new story in on what Tim Minear is up to, from Herc at Ain't it Cool.

for those wondering what "Wonderfalls" strongman (and Mutant Enemy superstar) Tim Minear is up to, he's adapting a bigscreen version of Robert A. Heinlein's "The Moon Is A Harsh Mistress" for producers Mike Medavoy ("Holes") and David Heyman (the "Harry Potter" series).

Just in case you're wondering whatever happened to Marti Noxon, she's working on a proposed series for Fox called Point Pleasant.

It's described as Peyton Place meets the Omen.

Oh yeah and apparently, yes David Fury is working on Lost.

Apparently they will be making 13 episodes of Global Frequency.

Diego Gutierrez (Normal Again) and Ben Edlund (Smile Time) will be among the writers.

I edited the above a bit, because Herc thinks The Girl in Question is a comedy classic, and I think it's junk.
