[Whedonesque] Buffy #4 was the tenth bestselling comic in June.

It's kind of deceptive what # 10 actually means.

Marvel and DC traditionally own the top 10 rankings. I could be wrong, but I think this is new air Dark Horse is breathing with a top 10 rating.

If you check out the market shares HERE it says Dark Horse is in the bottom 5 %, so to have an issue leap from there to the top 10 is a big thing.

Another thing worth noting is you might expect Buffy # 1 to do well as matter of novelty and interest. You'd then expect it to start sliding down the rating chart in the following issues. # 1 broke at number 9 on the chart. # 4 is still hanging in there at the 10 position.
 
And, fingers crossed, once Joss' initial run ends and Vaughan picks up the reins, the numbers will stay high. Comic geeks should stick around cos he's considered among the best in the biz.
 
awesome! im happy for dark horse comics. the buffy comic has been great thus far (book 5 was a little crazy, though).

btw, is that link you gave the only place that ranks comics? just curious.

Now me, I don't know for sure if the site they link to for comic ratings is the only gatherer of such info, or not. I just always see the info as it comes in from Whedonesque.
