The hit new drama featuring Leonard Roberts (Forrest) and other Whedonverse connections is the first show to be ordered for nine episodes.

I'm trying to figure out the "other" Whedonverse connections.

BEG tipped me off that the girl who played Marcie, the invisible girl is playing the FBI Agent. Jeph Loeb who was working on Buffy animated is doing something with Heroes. By proxy Bryan Fuller who worked with Tim Minear on Wonderfalls is doing something over there. Apparently Leonard Roberts (Forrest) will be playing the girl in the red sports car's ex-husband. Did I miss any?

Good 🙂 I was worried because some people seem to think its slow.

Leonard Roberts hasnt even been in it yet though.

I have been watching from the beginning and I looooove it. My new favorite show this season.

This show has continued to do well ratings-wise. It's doing well among the hyped "age 18-49" demographic, supposedly what the advertisers need.

I've looked in at a couple of the recent episodes. My reaction so far has been one of "I don't really get it." I know the stories are supposed to weave together into a whole, but so far it's just looked like a set of separated character sketches and storylines. I think those Japanese guys are kind of fun to watch. That police officer who's working with Clea DuVall's character who reads thoughts reminds me a bit of the BtVS episode "Earshot", lol. Hayden Panettiere is sort of interesting, although her character is no Buffy. Maybe the show's supposed to focus in on her at some point? They keep having this "Save the cheerleader, save the world" mantra, okay we'll wait and see.

I still haven't gotten into this show. There was one episode which I tried to watch but I fell asleep ten minutes into it and missed just about the whole thing.

Ive been watching them all and I totally love it. Im not sure where theyre going with it but its fun finding out.

I'm avoiding as much talk about this show as possible because I want to be unspoiled when it airs here in the UK in January. Sounds like my kind of thing though so I'm glad that it is such a success.

I haven't thought too much about Milo Ventimiglia.

But the character of Adrian Pasdar who plays his brother is an interesting take on a politician. Being able to fly isn't good for getting elected, lol! Pertinent, given how we just had an election in this country. 🙂

I kind of like the mystery they've created around Claires' father - what side he's really on. Isaac Mendez' character is a novel take on the idea of a crazy artist.

A few weeks ago I was tiring of this show but the last couple of episodes have been GREAT, I'm now a full fan again...yay.

Here is part of an article from TV Guide:

After a seven-week hiatus, HEROES now finds itself opposite a tough competitor -- Fox's "24". As a result, the return episode is packed with hot revelations, including more details of the dream in which Peter explodes and sets off a nuclear blast in Manhattan. Creator Tim Kring advises fans to watch closely: the sequence is peppered with hints of plots twists to come. "There are clues in the physical positioning of the characters, and the fact that Claire is seen in a cheerleading outfit," he notes. "The dream will alter and expand as the season progresses."

the last sentence of the paragraph is a spoiler, but only a minor one IMO.

Case in point: a new hero, Claude, has been added in the dream, laughing insanely from the sidelines.

(feel free to re-post at the After-Darkness forum if you want. I don't have time at the moment.)
