In Variety speak, the pilot is "a sudser revolving around an "Amazing Race" competish, but on acid" (best phrase ever!). In normal everyday English, it's about a bunch of people competing in an illegal cross-country road race.

Wha?! So...this is like Cannonball Run, mixed with...Lost or something? A giant serialized action soap? I'm game! I hope this breaks the Minear curse.

Okay, so now I can mention, my pilot got picked up today. Go team. Okay, the show is called "Drive." The network is, um, Fox. And it's a big, sprawling, ensemble that is utterly serialized. In the pilot, for instance, there are"¦ let me count"¦ about 16 possibly regular characters. Which means I got me some killin' to do."

I hope this isn't just couples bickering in cars, lol. Nah, it's gotta be something...complicated and layered and all that good stuff. Just hope FOX doesn't screw Tim over again.
