Totally agree. Although some people like to just put their long incoherent ramblings into 16 tweets, and that's just annoying. But most people get it. Plus, it makes you think about what you're going to spontaneously say before you spontaneously say it. I find that usually helps me maintain an air of competence.

Exactly. I do have a tendency to ramble, but Twitter's helped me be more.....concise.

The nice thing about Twitter is that you don't have to go through a million spam messages by silly applications if you just want to see what your friends have written. Is there a way to turn those off on Facebook?

Oh, and you can, btw, on Facebook. Click the little Notifications sign in the bottom right, then click "Show All". There are check boxes down the right hand side that let you choose what sends you notifications and what doesn't.

It's like Facebook status updates without all the extra stuff. And you're not automatically tied to people; they can follow you and you can completely ignore their existence. Also, you can send quick notes to people, respond to their updates, etc. It's incredibly addicting, but if you don't follow too many people, it's not too much to keep up with. I think I'm following about 33 people, but only about 10 of them update with any regularity, so I'm not overwhelmed.

Yeah, Twitter moves only as fast as you want it to, unlike Facebook which ploughs on regardless. That's why I love it. Plus, people follow and unfollow all the time, so you don't have to feel like you have to keep someone in your list.
 
I've actually been thinking of deleting my Twitter. I have quite a few of you guys on there, so if you all of a sudden don't have me anymore, don't be offended; I probably just deleted. LOL

I know! She mentions it in her Tweets, too, LOL! She said she had "mad followers" now, or something like that. Too funny!
