Okay, so by popular demand we added a forum for Whedonverse stuff. The exact definition is still being thought about so if anyone has (constructive) thoughts on that feel free to give them.

We are still talking about where to put it so I know it looks kind of stuck in there, which is because it was just kind of stuck in there. But I figured no use waiting to add it 🙂

So at least Firefly and Wonderfalls stuff goes there, Buffy Animated Series, Serenity too.

Why would Wonderfalls go in there? Whedon didn't work on it. Does anything worked on by a former ME staff member get to be considered the Whedonverse? Is Gilmore Girls Whedonverse because Jane Espenson worked on it? What about Jake 2.0?
 
My take on it would be any stuff (TV, books, films etc.) involving Buffy/Angel cast or crew that couldn't be easily put in other forums such as Inside Out, News or Cast and Characters - like a thread about "Toy Story" for example, or Wonderfalls or other shows that Joss and the other writers were involved with.

The problem was the Wonderfalls isn't really Buffy news but it's not really Caritas either (according to the members here, because personally I think it is Caritas). But that's why I put it there.

Old news, yes. Current news can go in the News forum.

As I said, we are still working this out, but that's where things have been put at the moment.

I think I really like this idea.

I'm not sure if I understand why it would be a problem posting any of the stuff Watcher Wes mentioned in the Whedonverse Forum. Technically stuff like Wonderfalls and Tru calling isn't Whedonverse. Nevertheless Whedon and Buffy/Angelverse issues and people often connect outside anything connected to Joss.

I think allowing a certain amount of slack in the Whedonverse forum will make it more interesting. If you don't allow it you may find the postings there kind of sparse.

For now though can you clarify things for me. I'll post some thread titles. Can you tell me where they go?

I'm not sitting here saying "ONLY THESE 3 TOPICS CAN BE POSTED IN THIS FORUM" which everyone is acting like I am. I wanted input on this, which is why I asked for it. I said from the beginning the forum was loosely defined until we could narrow it down. I want to know how YOU think the forum should be defined. I can give you my personal opinion, which is all I have unless someone else makes a case for something else. Personally, I think it the topic doesn't relate to Buffy in any way (i.e. "How could Rory do that to whatshisname?") it belongs in Caritas. I just thought that would be a good way to distinguish between what belongs in there and what doesn't.

I have questions myself - what about actor's projects? Do they go in cast & characters or here?

N4H - you were the one who suggested a Whedonverse forum, and it was my understanding it was for stuff like Wonderfalls and Firefly, which is why I mentioned those before.

Here's my personal opinion on the threads you suggested, which doesn't have to be the answer...cause I don't have the answer here. There is no right or wrong answer. I'd like to come to a consensus with the members of the board who are interested in posting in this forum on what it should be. I don't really care about Wonderfalls or Firefly, so I don't really think you want to leave this to me lol.

Really...That must have slipped my mind. Maybe I was drunk. What if the forum flops though. Will it be all my fault? I'm not sure I want that responsibility. You've got me chewing my nails now Buffy. I see I'm going to have to adopt the Whedonverse forum, and try to make some interesting posts.
 
After discussions with our new moderator, we have moved the Whedonverse forum under a retitled "Crew, Cast & Characters" forum and merged it with the Other forum to be less confusing about what goes where. I have made a post in that forum about what goes where as well.

Basically, it goes in the character's forum if it is about a single character or actor.
 
ok sounds cool, i think i've got it. So if it's related to Joss but not Angel or Buffy it goes in this new Whedonverse forum right?
