Whedonverse stars in Christmas movies!

Now, I love cheesy Christmas Movies. The cheesier the better, which is how I with great delight ended up in front of Dear Santa, spurred by my love of Christmas movies and Amy Acker.

This was a truly awful movie, in a spectacular cheesy way, and watching the trailer will essentially show you the entire movie and all it's significant plot points. (Supernatural fans will recognize the leading male role as a certain Mr. Ketch) Unless you love bad Christmas flicks, there is no reason to watch this beyond Amy Acker's adorableness.

That said, I think Charisma Carpenter and Nich Brendon may have been in some Christmas Movies, but can't remember what they're called. Do you know of any others? I need some sweet, silliness for the upcoming holiday seasons!

I actually really like Dear Santa, is it cheesy and formulaic? yes. But it's cute, it's charming, and who doesn't love the adorable Amy Acker. I've seen a few of the Hallmark/Lifetime Christmas movies with a few recognizable faces. Julie Benz was in one called Charming Christmas with Rory's dad from Gilmore Girls. Charisma Carpenter's in one, haven't seen the Nick Brendan one. I know Candace Cameron-Bure from Fuller House does a lot of Hallmark movies. Actors need work, I won't judge them, and some of them are fun. I saw a Kristy Swanson Hallmark Christmas movie that was super low budget, and completely cheesy. There was one montage scene that looked like a commercial, where all the kids were like posing and smiling at the camera. Not all Hallmark/ Lifetime movies are bad though. They have their own charm that either works for you, or it doesn't.

I've seen that one, it's got Tricia Helfer in it too. It's not too bad, he's also in one called Miss Christmas, gotta say he's looking pretty good these days. lol.

I'll be watching The Hogfather, now there was a good Christmas film.

Memories of The Exorcist, that psycadelic yawn was a goodie.

I don't judge the actors, I love these movies like I started my post by saying. Yea, they are a bit low-budget quality, and cheesy at times, but that's to be expected. I enjoy quite a few of the Hallmark Christmas movies. I know they're just made for TV movies and that's fine. I use to low the old Disney Channel original movies as well. Not the greatest, but fun and entertaining. As long as it puts a smile on your face.
