When a series ends, do the conventions stop?

I wouldn't think so. An example of this is Roswell, it has ended yet in the UK we saw our first Roswell convention this month.

I think its mainly down to the organisers, if they wish to continue or not.

surely not, there are still conventions for Star Wars and for a long time there, they were done with those movies. And there are still Xena conventions I've heard of, and that show is over, so I'm assuming that Buffy cons are going to be around for a loooooooong time.

I heard that starfury are planning a Buffy convention next year (UK only) so that answers your question 🙂

There are already 3 Buffy and Angel related conventions in the UK next year (I will be posting these up shortly - keep an eye on other threads)

One good example though would be when Voyager ended. This then enabled the main cast to get together for a convention (something they may have not previously had time for) and I believe 3000 people attended this a few years back.

Actors from Star Trek, Star Wars, Battlestar Galatica, Red Dwarf still do signings in the UK regular.

Its all good 😀

Oh thank goodness. It's great to hear such positive feedback. I was all worried because there's a convention close to where I live that I won't be able to go to although I previously had my heart set on it. Was making sure I wasn't missing my only chance to meet some of the cast.🙂
