If you've alredy seen it, no spoilers please! 🙂

I think we're going to go on Saturday, probably the earliest show. I'm hoping the crowds won't be as bad then. Our city is having one of those Marvel Movie Marathons on Thursday, but there's no way my kids and I can sit through SIX movies! I would love to see the midnight premiere, but 2 of them are too young and would sleep through it probably lol.

Alas, there was no shirtless Thor. A girl can still dream....
We're going on Sunday. Going to meet some friends and go to the IMAX. I haven't been there since I was a kid so this should be interesting.

I'm so excited!

I'm probably gonna go the first time on Saturday, early show. I'd go on Friday, but honestly...I lost my taste for going to movies opening show when I saw Revenge of the Sith. Too many crowds, you have to stay in line all day just to get a decent seat..It isn't fun to me. Hopefully going the early show on Saturday means less crowds.

that's what I'm hoping too!
We'll probably go Friday afternoon. Less people I hope, since it's gonna be during the day. But if it's too crowded, we're going to watch it next week.

All of the "John Carter" fans have been asked to boycott the first week out of protest over the crappy way that Disney Studios treated Burroughs' greatest hero, so I won't be seeing it until the 2nd week at the earliest.

I have sympathy for the issue, although I will probably go this weekend anyway!

I agree with VisionGirl.
Haha I love that the question is "when" and not "are you?" 😉. I really want to! Grr. In this class I TA for, they're having a movie night and they're going to see it Thursday night at around 12am, so Friday morning but I doubt I'll be able to make it. Also, some of my friends who go to college out of state are in town this weekend so maybe then 😀 we shall see.

LOL, but of course! I assume that EVERYONE on here will be going. :D
I'm really torn about it because I want to see it to support Joss but I'm not a fan of The Avengers in general so this is going to be tough.

I think it will be good regardless. I mean, I understand- I prefer the X-Men over the Avengers, but I think it will be so cool.
I'll be watching it in a few weeks time. I'm not a huge fan of crowds and there's nothing worse than going to the pictures when its busy and having to sit right at the front because there's no room anywhere else.

I'm going to wait until the crowds die down. I'm not a Marvel fan, so I have no sense of immediacy about seeing it. Plus, I just really like empty cinemas. 🙂

Empty cinemas for the win! No bloody teenagers talking on their cell phones every two seconds and just generally being obnoxious

Then don't be surprised if you see your name posted on the "John Carter' Boycott list. Every name helps.

I went last night in the Cinema 'Odeon' beside the Point in Dublin, hardly anyone there on a Monday night, got to put my feet up and everything!
I will have to say that, if the entire movie is as good as a (probably pirated) clip that I saw on You Tube concerning Loki and a very large green man is (watch it quickly, because it's almost certainly going to be taken down soon) it's definitely something that I don't want to miss, and it's really going to strain my "John Carter" resolve to wait that entire week.

OMG, there's a Loki/Hulk scene that is so amazing!! My kids are STILL talking about it lol!
I'm going to watch it today with a bunch of friends, who will have to endure me talking about Joss and his projects nonstop.

I doubt I'm going to see it. If I do, then it will be a sneaky download job sometime in the future when I'm bored. I guess I'm not really into these kind of big budget superhero style movies...

SlayerOfVampyrs agrees: *LE GASP!* What if Adam Baldwin had been cast as Captain America? 😛
SlayerOfVampyrs I will forever be bitter about the fact that Adam wasn't cast as Captain America. I was just so sure! I guess maybe he is a few years to old?

ROFL!!
I'm going this afternoon ! I'm so excited it's getting ridiculous
I'm just pissed it won't be in english

I won a few free movie vouchers a while ago, so I'll go and see it when they remove the "no free tickets" restriction. But I can't wait!

So we've changed our plans. My husband has a class on Saturday, so we'll go early evening.

Speaking of free tickets, JCPenny had a deal where if you bought 2 childrens' Marvel apparel pieces, you get a free ticket. My mom was in there browsing and and asked someone about it at the register, and they just gave her the voucher! So we have at least one free ticket. 🙂
