When are you going to see The Avengers?

I'm not going to see it in theaters. I'll wait til it comes out on Video On Demand and watch it from home.
 
We have an annual cinema card so it will be on our watch list. The only problem we have is that we have a small town cinema out in the isles, so most movies can be sometimes six to eight weeks later than the big city cinemas. Example - Cabin in the Woods will be here in a few weeks time!!!!!!!!!! But still worth the wait to see films on the big screen.
 
When I go and watch it I'm going with my dad and uncle who grew up reading all the comics. There not Whedon fans so I cant wait to see if they like it or not. I've no doubt I'll love it 🙂
 
So I went into the city last night to see a comedy show, and right across the venue was a movie theater. HOOLLLLYYYY CRRAAAAP the line was outside the door all the way down the block for Avengers!
 
I went today to a 4pm showing. Might I just say a big 'HOLY CRAP' to the lines? They were using 10 rooms to play it in and every show was sold out. People were lining up for about 5 different showings at once but nobody knew which line was for what and the 'line; wound up being a giant blob of people with no idea what was going on. It was a hot mess.

But so worth it.

I love superheros, shirtless Thor, and Joss Whedon. Should be good times.

My brother's gone watching it tonight 🙁 I'm going on the 14th, I so cant wait!
 
My best friend and I have decided that we are going next Tuesday. It's a comprimise between waiting long enough for the cinemas to not be packed and our need to see the film.

I'll probably do the same, if I don't cave before and go see it tomorrow XD
 
I'm going tomorrow with my new friend and band member. He loved Cabin In The Woods, he's gonna love The Avengers, now all I have to do is convince him to watch Buffy, then we're best friends for life. 😉
 
I've been planning to go but I've been dragging my feet (I suspect it's the enthusiastic reviews about it... it's Avatar all over again, a 'have to see' movie... I still haven't seen that one... lol, guess I'm just a stubborn person 😉)

I'll try to get around to it though since I have been waiting for it

I'm EXACTLY the same. "OMG it's so goooooood" everywhere pretty much guarantees me NOT seeing something.
I'm taking my mum to the movies on Sunday morning for Mother's Day. I've been trying to convince her to see The Avengers. I keep reminding her that Mark Ruffalo is in it since she has a big crush on him 😉. But I think we are going to end up seeing Dark Shadows instead, which I don't mind. I love me some Johnny Depp 😛 😉

So I don't know when I'll get to see it 🙁. Hopefully I'll be able to get one of my friends to go with me to see it soon though 🙂
 
I caved and went today. AMAZING!!!! And I'm taking my best friend to see it in French next Tuesday. I'm glad that I saw it in English first, though. The original version is always better 🙂
 
Is everyone planning to watch it in 3D? Or for those who have already seen it, is it worth watching in 3D?

I'm going to watch it in 3D but purely because of the show times. The 2D showing is on too late 🙁 I'm hoping its worth paying the extra to watch it in 3D.
