When are you going to see The Avengers?

We saw it last weekend- I won't spoil you, but totally awesome!! However the youngest one fell asleep and as he's the biggest superhero fan I promised him that he & I would go again. Sigh, the sacrifices I make for my children! 😉

We did not see it in 3D. I have no doubts that 3D would be awesome, but it aggravates my migraines. Also, although it was crowded I purchased tickets online beforehand so all I had to do was pick them up at the automated kiosk. When I take my 5 yr old, we'll go to a matinee. Oh, and Goby, if you're around, I thought that the movie was fine for my kids. Typical superhero violence (beating up the bad guys, explosions etc) but nothing overly graphic or gross.

You mean you *HAVE* to go see it again?!?! OH THE HORROR! I feel so sorry for you that you have to sit through that amazing flick again. SO SORRY! :P ;)

Thanks, Queenie! That's so funny because I was going to ask you!

I found an online review, and it seemed appropriate. No sex scenes, no hardcore language (one s-word), and no extreme violence. He's seen it twice. 🙂

I've only seen it once, but I agree with that reviewer. LMK what you think!
Is everyone planning to watch it in 3D? Or for those who have already seen it, is it worth watching in 3D?

I'm going to watch it in 3D but purely because of the show times. The 2D showing is on too late 🙁 I'm hoping its worth paying the extra to watch it in 3D.

I think its worth it in 3D, except for 1 or 2 bits you kinda forget its in 3D, thats the sign of good 3D to me.

@randiann agrees: Alas, there was no shirtless Thor. A girl can still dream....
I know, no shirtless anybody! 🙁

We're going to go back next week when the kids are out of school. Me and the little one, middle one said he wants to go too. I supppose I have to pay for the big one too, ugh! 😉 I think I'll go to JCPenny first to get them some shirts, plus a free ticket.

no shirtless Thor... bah, then why see it?? ;) J/k of course
@caitaintdead agrees: I'm EXACTLY the same. "OMG it's so goooooood" everywhere pretty much guarantees me NOT seeing something.

Hehe, two peas, eh?
So Caiters, have you seen Avengers yet? (if you gush about it I will tickle you very, very hard 😉)

I intended to go this last weekend, since I had faithfully honored my "John Carter" boycott, but the lines were still so long that we saw "Dark Shadows" instead. (It was Mother's Day, and my wife wanted to see something funny.) Definitely no long lines to see THAT.

Congrats on your John Carter boycott you and the other John Carter fans may have delayed The Avengers reaching over a billion dollars worldwide by half a day or so!

😉

I agree, as boycotts go, it's a spit in the ocean, but ives us a little satisfaction. (Just wait till you see what we have planned for Disney's anual stockholders' meeting)
