I hope that never happens to us. And yeah, I have had my favorite board/site shut down. It was a Teen Titan board (shut up) that I had made a family on.

Sucks!
 
CoA Forum was one of the big sites. i know qutie a few members here who i met over there. BOTD and i met on that site, and i lured him here. (yes, it's my fault. i unleshed him on all of you! ha ha!)
Al and i were addicted to that site...then i found this one! lol, at the end of CoA i was pretty much just a lurker there, i spent most of my time here, but it was still a big shock when it went down. i met SO many people on that site, people that i rarely speak to now, 'cause i never got any email addresses or anything.

i used Buffy-World a lot too, for art links, for textures and brushes and things...sucks that it's shut down now...hopefully we'll stilll be here for a LONG Time! 😀

I kinda miss CoA, but I like it here too.
i know! i wasnt sure it was gone for good, but it wasnt working and now im kind of annoyed to know it is. thats stinks. its the site ive used since i first started watching angel (mostly for just fanfic and quick reference though). thanks for the replacement links, n4h! 😀 one of them was actually one i was using a couple of times because the other wasnt working.
 
I remember my old boards...so many good memories and so many good friends... *sigh*

Sure, I've found when the old boards have attempted to come back but for me it's just not the same anymore. I don't know why. It's just...different. Less old faces, more new ones and everyone has a bit of an edge to them that they never used to have.

BB is not allowed to die....it's unpossible! I don't want to have to find a new home.
 
Man, if BB ever goes down, I'll probably just stop posting altogether. That would be awful

Yeah...there isn't any other place like this. Sophisticated yet very childlike in nature. I mean, come on. We all act like little kids. 😛 In the good way, I mean.

ohmigod, i never even thought of BB being gone! the though makes me sad...🙁 and worried... *dies*

(um...i think this is that silly that TC was talking about...with the overdrama and all 😉)

Well, thanks to Buffy Summers, we've got a nice place here...and I know there have been occasions when she's wanted to quit but she hasn't...so big thanks to the HBIC 😉 She knows I mean that in an affectionate way...she told me what it meant 🙂
 
I have no idea what I would do if bb was gone. I need it. Although there aren't always so many posters about, I still need it.
 
I agree i dunno what i would do if BB was gone either i mena i've been here for so long and all i just this is like a second little family everyone here is great and its like buffy never ended... I'd go crazy if this place wasnt around anymore.. SO major thanks to Buffy for keeping it going
 
It's a shocker that Buffy-world is gone. I used to go there too for all my transcript needs. Before I came on BB I was a member of a small Dutch message board that I think was called Dreams of Angel... but they closed down quite unexpectedly. Which is good, cause then I went and find this place 😀 which IMHO is just about the best board in the whole world 😉

Another Buffy fansite bites the dust and this time it's one of the big ones (the link goes to BuffyForums.net which is the new home for the former BuffyWorld posting community).

From what I understand the owner has had a lot of recent troubles with the site database and has decided that enough is enough and let BuffyWorld go.

ok, here's the story that i know...

the server that Buffyworld used crashed a lot...like at least once a month, sometimes more. so someone decided to create a back up Forum, Buffy Forums, so that the members still had somewhere to go when BW was down. but after this last crash, they decided to just move the whole thing over, and we've got Buffy Forums
