When did Angel save Buffy?

I have in my head the image of Buffy fighting multiple vamps, starting to get in over her head. Then Angel swoops in and helps her finish them off. I've come to suspect that a moment like this never really happened in the show, just in my head. Did Angel ever rescue Buffy?

Example 1:
"Angel" when Buffy is fighting the Three at the beginning. Angel comes in an helps her fight them off.

Angel saves Buffy more than once. Here are several more examples.

Example 2
The Dark Age. Buffy was protecting the blood shipment for the hospital. Angel comes running up and sees a vamp behind Buffy. Angel fights the vamp and kicks him sending him into a car and the vamp drives away.

Example 3
In Surprise one of the judges hands wraps itself around Buffy's throat is choking her. Angel pulls it off.

In that same episode at the dock when buffy is saying good-bye to angel when he is going to leave and go somewhere far away to bury the arm in Nepal. Buffy gets knocked into the water and Angel jumps in and pulls her out.


Example 3
After she makes him bite her in Graduation Day part 2 Angel gets her to the hospital. And then in her hospital room the Mayor comes in and is and is choking her Angel comes in and grabs the Mayor and pulls him off of Buffy.

& when he comes back to fight the shumash (sp) although she doesn't know about it 'til later...

He also saves her in Earshot, not by joining in a fight but by killing a demon and feeding her its heart.

"well, we talked, and then he ripped out the heart of a demon and fed it to me, and then we talked some more."

I love that quote as well.

I'm rewatching all the episodes of Buffy from start to finish and I've watched Pangs, and again, Angel saves her life when Giles' house is being attacked.

If you talk about how Angel saved Buffy you can admit that he helped her psychical a lot, he saved her several times from a break-down just because of the fact that he was there for her when she needed him!

A very good example of this is when he comes to see her after Joyce's funeral.
