when did kendra die?

hey.i watched the epasode where kendra left sunnydale, after her duty was finished...So i was wondering.When did she die???And did buffy know?

Kendra comes back in the Season Finale of Season 2, called Becoming Part 1. She comes back to help Buffy because her watcher said that there was trouble. She gets attacked in the library and Drusilla slits her throat with her fingernail... not a very pleasant way to die.
