When did you know that Cordie became evil?

I knew when she killed Lilah for sure, but all the strange acting was kind of evil when I look back, but I gotta say I thought she was down and sick because of the prgnancy, but I'm silly.

As for the original question. I already though something was wrong in Apocalypse Nowish: Cordy would never leave Angel when she thought the world was in peril. I didn't buy the *I saw you as Angelus* speech. Cordy knew what Angel was, she had encounters with Angelus and she always proved capable of leaving that behind. When she slept with Connor I was relatively sure there was more going on, I knew Cordy would never ever do something like that. But I wasn't sure until Calvary, there was always the possibility of simple bad and stupid writing lol.
Yesss. I completely agree. I mean, I knew something was wrong when she slept with Connor - something Cordy would never do. I never really caught on to the whole Cordy-is-now-evil-somehow until she killed Lilah.

I found out when she started acting strangley just before she stabs Lilah.

And just after she killed Lilah and got shot, i was like "It's Her! It's Cordy!" My Mum was watching it to and her mouth was open it was so strangley funny!

i had a feeling something was off after Spin the Bottle when she just took off. but i wasnt sure..Then when she started acting dull when angelus came out and i had a bigger sense.. then she stabbed lilah and it slapped me in the face cause i was not expecting that and i liked lilah 🙁

i think i noticed something was wrong when cordy and connor kissed for the 1st time... i mean, of course joss will do anything big to surprise us, but that was just too big...

When I watched it when it aired I didn't catch on until she killed Lilah, but re-watching on the dvds I can see how weird she had been acting since she came back from the higher plane.

I'm watching season four for the first time and I just watched the episode when she kills Lilah. I thought, "she's evil?" now I have to go back and watch for signs. I knew the real Cordy would not sleep with the annoying twerp that Connor is.

I knew a little after she got back from being a higher being that something was up.. But I think her killing Lilah was the big eye opener.

"He's going to kill us."

"I know". (slashes knife) "That's why I let him out... you stupid BITCH!"

😉

it didnt hit me till the whole stabbing lilah thing, but then again, this was the very first season i saw, so i didnt know what cordy was actually supposed to be like when she wasnt evil. 🙂

most of the season I was thinking: "hmmm.. thas most unusual"
like when she slept with Connor... yeah... unusual...
So my radar was up and my feelers were out and I knew there was something, but actually finding out that she was evil wasn't untill she killed Lilah and then I had my lightbulb moment, which was pretty late I agree... usually I catch on with these things quite early.

(*SPOILER FOR THE OTHERS*when watching "the others" in the movie theatre I was going: "It's them!!!! They are the ones that are dead... Oh come on people!!!!" halfway through the movie, same thing with The Village and more recently with The Number 23)
END OF SPOILER

But that only shows that the writers put their plot together extremely well, I love it when I get surprised like that!

same here. I totally did not see it coming the first time around, so when she killed Lilah I was shocked.

I did not guess she was evil, but I was thinking that something was not right with Cordy. Sleeping with Connor was definitely not something Cordy would just do. I mean she has changed a lot since Sunnydale and even risked her life to keep the visions. The other thing is her attitude towards Gwen. Cordy was always the charming businesswoman to any one who walks in to AI office. But she was extra nasty to Gwen who was up to that point a complete stranger to Cordy.

Watching it again it IS obvious that something is seriously not right with her, but on first viewing you're being led to think it's because she's traumatised by her "higher being" experience. It's very clever misdirection, like the Long Days Journey ep, where you're led to think there's a traitor among them, yet the finger is being pointed at Connor and even possibly Angel. It's very smart writing.
