To be honest I never realized how incredibly funny and interesting Harmony was until Angel season 5 when she became his secretary. Before that she was just bouncing around and the writers never gave her a chance to be shine. I felt like she had incredibly potential and should have been a main cast member on Angel longer

And seriously, who doesn't love "Harm's Way"?

Well I haven't seen all of Angel yet so I won't comment on that part but I do specifically remover disliking her before she was a vamp. I also remember seeing her getting "killed" in grad day pt 2 and I was a little sad for her but I was so excited to see more of her character and I really liked her in S4 of Buffy. She was so cute with the "spikey" name calling and I enjoyed how she stuck up for herself after the way he treated her.

I found her incredibly annoying and pointless as a character. I did like her with Spike though, they were quite funny at times.

her and spike were adorable!!
i liked harmony with spike, those bits were so funny 🙂
like the time buffy said "you know he's doing something evil in that dark crypt all day" and then he's playing 20 qns with harmony 🙂 and he's all like "is it a sodding bread box?" lols

One of the best "cut-to's" on the show IMO!

Oh, I dislike Harmony. She's smoking hot, but so, so, so annoying! Other than Connor, I can't think of a character in the Buffyverse that I've disliked more.

BTW, I'm on episode 4 or 5 of Season 5, so I'm hoping she gets interesting. But so many season of causing me pain will pretty difficult to overcome in the remaining 20 episodes.

Joss is a genius. He saw great potential in Anya and Spike, and kept them in Buffyverse, yet also saw something in Harmony. I never saw it. 😕

I'm a huge Harmony fan, and her best season (IMO) is Angel season 5. She has her moments, and gets an entire episode dedicated to her, which I thought was one of the best episodes of the season. And she does become significant to the story towards the end.

I actually hate Harmony after she becomes a vampire. I thought she was funnier when she was just a vapid schoolgirl. She seems ditzier AFTER being vamped than before...

Maybe it was due to the loss of blood.. :p
Harmony is basically poor man's Anya and since Anya herself is poor man's Cordelia, one really starts to wonder what the hell was the point of replacing Cordelia with Harmony. She and Andrew belong to a sitcom, IMO. The other characters ignoring their crimes just because they were "funny" broke my suspension of disbelief.

I get your point (about *this*, at least :p) - still I find Harm funnier than Anya or Cordy.

That'd be me... I'd rather watch paint dry for a few hours. The first time watching "Harm's way" was just as slow and painful.

Frankly I didn't care for her as a human and once they vamped her... annoying x1000. She never provided me with any chuckles and I don't find her particularly "hot" so I can't even enjoy the mere sight of her on a more shallow end.

Personally I wish they would have stopped writing for her character after Buffy s3.

I love Harmony. Didn't really care for her when she wasn't a vampire, but after that when we got to see more of her personality I totally fell for her. I always felt like Buffy and the others were kind of condescending to her, and I didn't like that. And Spike treated her awful and that made me think less of him. Harmony deserved better. I was so happy the times she stood up for herself and I really wish she could have more screen time on both shows.

My dream Buffy/Angel scenario (pre Cangel I might add 🙂) Harmony turns Cordy in to a vamp, they start a gang with only female vampires and they end up falling in love. Fan fic anyone? 😀

AWSOME idea! <3
Nah, "Harm's Way" ain't on my love list. VampHarmony always felt too much like comic relief for me - something I've never found relieving.

I think Harmony is hillarious both as a highschool ditz and a vamp. But I do agree that sometimes the fact that she is evil and such has been compromised for the sake of humor. But anyway, I'll still love her. <3

Aw I adore Harmony. She seems to have this lovely happy spirit about her even after she was vamped. And it's just hilarious when she fails at being evil.

I first started to notice Harmony when she wanted to set Cordelia up with Jonathan. Thought she was a major bitca then, but eventually I loved her.

Harm's Way was brilliant! I love how she explained the left vs right biter thing. 🙂

Harmony, she was really annoying on Buffy. Just like Cordy. But, and don't hate me, this is my opinion, I think Harmony actually got a personality on Angel. We see her as the impressionable young vampire in Disharmony, and by s5, she's changed, and trying to be a better (for lack of a better word) person. I love it.

I actually thought of that lately. I think I noticed Harmony once she got interesting. Meaning, when she was turned into a vampire. I think they didn't make her that interesting at first because she didn't really matter. She was just Cordelia's friend. Notice how she never really connected to Buffy that much when they were in high school. Only through Cordy.

They then decided to make her a vampire, so they gave her an interest implant, took away her brain so she could be more funny, and hooked her up with Spike to make us go 'huh'.

I really don't think she had a brain to lose in the first place.

Yeah, okay, so they took the brain she didn't have, and threw it away even farther so she couldn't reach it, and locked it with a special megical key. Now she really really doesn't have brain.
