So what have you always wanted to become when you're all grown up? What do you still want to be and do with your life.

An Astronaut? A Caveman? A Firefighter? The President? Or just ridiculously good looking?

Share your dreams, and tell me can dreams come true?
 
I always wanted to be a couple of things:
1. Ice skater (even before I watched Buffy)
2. Writer/Editor
3. Work in a Crime Lab

Never got to be any of those things, because I decided in college to get my teaching degree. I always like playing school when I was little, so that was probably something that I wanted to be. I enjoy it, and I think I'm in the right place.

Your dreams can definitely come true if you work hard enough!
 
Always wanted to be a writer and still do.

Also at some point I wanted to be a detective, which is what me and my friends are gonna do if our first choice careers fall through. Set up a private investigators company. (Because thats a sure way to make some cash...)
 
I want to be a couple of things.

1. A writer - I love writing and although I think some of my writing is slightly weak I find other pieces that could be improved into something good.
2. A lawyer - A job I have been interested in since my mom begain working in a Law Firm when I was five. I have read several of the books in her firm of cases and the job jusy appeals to me.
3. Of course I wouldn't complain if I grew up to me amazingly rich and stunningly beautiful:silly:
 
I've always liked writing. And ive always liked mysteries and figuring things out. So...

1. Writer (journalist/author)
2. Detective
3. Spy

Oh, and who hasnt wanted to be famous? So ill add that too.
4. Actor/Singer
 
Something to do with TV, it changes all the times. Ideally a producer, overseeing my own "vision" would be great. Plus I can incoporate the little things I like (such as set decoration, making homes seem more homely and such).

Actor would be cool, but I don't think I have the skills.

Oddly as a child I wanted to own a newspaper shop. How mundane eh?
 
I want to be the male version of Paris Hilton. Just party all day and night long and fall ass backwards into money. I think I got the first part down, now I just need the money part.
 
I used to want to be many things, but now:
1. A lawyer, since fourth grade. My mum works with lawyers.
2. A bartender, a recent discovery, but I think I'd really enjoy it...even though I don't drink...
 
I wanted to go into art but because of lack of money to get into college at the time i chose to work with food instead, i can still be artistic in that so it is enjoyable.I do still want to do it though!
 
Like most other posters in this thread I wanted (and still want) to be a writer. What I want to write has changed a bit though. I wanted to be an author/poet sorta thing, now I'm thinking more like a journalist.. hm..

Always wanted to be an actress (like the real movie kind), but realise when I was 13 I wasn't pretty enough and gave up (err)..
 
I wanted to become an actress since I was a kid, and that's what I'm studying for now..
I also wanted to drive trains (don't know what that's called in english) in France also for some reason..
 
When I was little I always wanted to be a nurse or something.

Then when I was like 13 or 14 I thought it would be cool to work in a bank cause you get to handle all the money. Actually thats what Im doing right now. And its not all that...

Now I really wanna do something with English, like a translator or something.
 
all my life's ambitions have been silly. i've wanted to direct movies for as long as i can remember. i also thought it would be fun to be in a few of my movies, even if they werent big roles at all. i was also really interested in political positions as well. i thought it would be cool to learn a bunch of different languages and customs and things and work for the UN, as an ambassador or something. i also wanted to be in a band and just play music for a living. that way, i could use all my jillions of dollars to do work in africa or the bad parts of europe, like romania, too.

when i grow up i want to be a humanitarian worker. i'm a language whore, so the learning lots of languages part is fun, and I love 3rd world living when I am doing something good. I clearly belong on some AIDS education initiative in Africa...clearly.
if i can't do that then i guess i will settle for teaching university psychology classes and counseling on the side since i went through all the trouble of going to school for that.
 
when i grow up i want to be a film/tv director or producer. I think it would be amazing.. working with all of those celebs, your crew, how much fun you would have! I am studying film and tv at the moment, i have for the last 2 years, and when i finish high school im going to study film and tv at UNI ... 🙂 If those dreams fall through i wouldnt mind working in forensic science and criminology...
 
I want to write. Just write stories about stuff, whatever I want. I want people to like them and give me lots of money for them.

...that's about it. I don't have a backup. I just want to write.
