When will Angel & Spike return?

I'm getting really tired of waiting for them to come back already.
I haven't kept up with Angel: After the Fall, but I sure as hell hope that Angel & Co. will manage to transport LA out of Hell so those characters can come over to BtVS season 8.
I know that Angel: After the Fall is going to be followed by Angel: Aftermath and that's really sad IMO. Angel: After the Fall art is bad and the setting lame from the get-go.
It feels like IDW is holding the Angel characters hostage. Maybe it's just me, but I'd like to see the Scoobies and Fang Gang integrated in some capacity. This is something that was hard to do with live-action series, but very possible now.

Joss keeps swearing and be-damned that the characters from "Angel" are going to cross over into Season 8, but I'm getting a little impatient, too. Hopefully, with "After The Fall" coming to a close and "Aftermath" supposedly not starting back for awhile, Angel and Spike will have some time to visit the Slayers for an issue or two, or (hopefully) more. I don't look for any closure in the Spike/Buffy/That Other Vampire argument, but I do think that Buffy has the right to know about Spike being back, if, indeed, she didn't know already. I would, however, like to see a real, rousing "Justice League/Avengers" type crossover super epic. If Marvel and DC can do it, there's no reason Dark Horse and IDW can't do it, too. A 4 or 6 issue crossover would definitely sell a bunch of issues.

I can't wait for Spike to be back. I liked him on Angel but he feels more like a Buffy character

I think Andrew might tell Buffy that Spike is alive in the comic where they both go of to Italy in issue 23

Actually "Aftermath" is starting at the same time "After the Fall" ends, no break.

Personally I really like After the Fall. I can't comment on the art, since BtVS S8 & Angel AtF are the first comics I've read. Really I don't care too much about the art, no artist would be able to replicate the amazing casts' portrayals, really I'd probably be just as happy with text scripts from Joss 😛...

I also like that After the Fall has brought in every major cast member & guest star from the series except for Doyle (possibly out of respect for Glenn's passing). I think AtF is at least as good as S8. My criticism about both is that they've taken on scopes that are too large, since the main cast sitting around and talking was half the fun of the shows. Now it is rare to see the full Fang Gang or Scoobies in one place.

BUFFY: ...And, and, the last time the two of you were playing nice things didn't end very well! I seem to remember killing one of you while the other fled the country.

So what? do you want us to pick up where we left off? It's been over a year, so much has changed... I, I have an army now and Dawn's a Centaur, and I had to kill Willow so that Willow could rescue me. Oh screw it, I lo...

ANGEL: Buffy, hey, I'm human again, and I've managed to keep enough of my strength to keep up with my duties as a champion.

(Buffy runs into Angel's arms and they kiss passionately while Spike looks on)
