Whendonverse Brag Thread: What can you brag about re: anything Whendonesque?

My own (which prompted me to start this thread) - Marti Noxon worked for my dad when she was cutting her teeth on film-making while in college (or shortly after, I am not sure). My dad made entertaining educational films for children (as well as a couple of feature films), and she assisted him in her early career. I think I was in highschool or recently out of it at the time (she and I are around the same age).

Ok, not much of a brag (I had no input into it), but hey, it's a connection! 🙂

Okay, bragging. I've met a lot of the cast, so I'm gonna narrow it down, lol.

Christian Kane told me I was cute. *grins*

I had an interesting, playful argument with Mark Sheppard back in November.

The camera went all wonky when I was having my photo taken with James Marsters so the photographer had to pause and take multiple shots. James and I laughed a lot. Yes, I did get to keep all the shots - four in total.

I have three sketches by Georges Jeanty (BtVS S8/9 artist) Buffy, Faith and Xander.

Juliet Landau sat next to me in the audience at a convention because she wanted to see what it would be like to be 'one of us', lol.

She was really sweet. She laughed a lot (Clare Kramer and Georges Jeanty were on stage) and kept leaning over to see the pictures me and the girl on her other side were taking.

It's not that cool of a connection--revealing it would just give away too much about my personal life!

I got to meet Christian Kane once. And then he invited me to go watch a private viewing of his then new show Leverage. Only his friends and family and people who won tickets to see it got to go. Plus me 😀 there's a really old thread somewhere around here that documented all the squeeing that occurred. It was pretty sweet.

Oh, another thing I remembered. At a convention a few years ago (2008, I think) there was a power outage at the hotel we were staying at, just as we were all checking in. We'd gotten there quite early, so we had a seat in the lobby. We knew we'd all get checked in eventually, so we weren't worried about being first in line or whatever. After about an hour or so, we heard some whispering going on, and we looked up to see Elisabeth Rohm (Kate Lockely) standing in the middle of the lobby. Now, at this time, Elisabeth was very heavily pregnant. (The convention was in February and her daughter was born at the beginning of April) I stood up and called her name and offered her my seat, as we knew it was going to be another hour or so before the power came back up. She smiled and took the seat while I ended up sitting on my sister's lap, lol. Elisabeth remembered me later in the weekend and thanked me and gave me a hug both during the photo session and the autograph session. She was lovely.
