There's been a lot of characters on the show that were only in it for a single episode - or a handful of episodes - and then they're never heard from again, so I thought it would be fun to try and come up with ideas about where they are now.

Like Marcie Ross, the swim team, Parker, Owen.

Where are they now?

I think that's what IMDb is for. I've seen Clea Duvall in quite a bit of stuff actually. I remember her from She's All That and The Faculty but she was also in the first season of Heroes as a detective, did an episode of Bones and was in a few eps of AMH:Asylum.
The guy that plays Owen has had steady work popping up in a lot of shows that I don't watch, stuff like CSI, Jericho and most recently Switched at Birth.

Gage from the swim team played by Wentworth Miller had his own show Prison Break, and was in Resident Evil 4 and looks like he will be in the 6th movie too. He pops up here and there on shows. Shane West had a cameo on the swim team and he's on the show Nikkita now but I'll always remember him as Landon from A Walk to Remember.

There's quite a few actors that pop up on Buffy before they get their big break. Amy Adams was a surprise for me. But also Amber Tamblyn, Rachel Bilson and Kyle from The Pack turned out to be Pinocchio from Once Upon a Time. I'm sure there's more but those are the ones I remember.

Oh my bad. I assume at some point they all died. Sharks probably ate the swim team creatures at sea. Owen probably died during graduation if not before then. Marcie is curious though, is she permanently invisible? Who were those people she was with? Did she like join the Buffyverse equivalent of the X-Men? We will never know, that's a question for Joss.

I meant the actually characters, honey. Not the actors who played them. :)
Owen: After a night of passion with Faith, (somewhere around 'Lover's Walk' in S3) during his senior year, Owen gets a real taste for danger, moves to LA and opens a tough biker bar that, on occassion, hosts poetry slams. The bar is where Spike reads his poety in 'Not Fade Away.'

Parker, brutalised by Buffy's harsh treatment, goes back to his old, slimy ways until a seduction on the beach goes horribly wrong and he's brutally 'assaulted' by a group of suspiciously fishy monsters. (I really don't like Parker- as a character or as a plot device. 😡)

Lyle Gorch, annoying Texan vampire, tracks down all the descedants of the Gorch clan in Texas and elsewhere and heads back to Sunnydale to revenge himself on the slayer. He's just in time to ride into a deserted Sunnydale and is busily laying low with his posse when the Hellmouth collapses thanks to Spike's amulet. He and all his stupid relatives, die horribly. 🙂

Marcie ends up joining the first ever Buffyverse superteam that includes Gwen Raiden, Boone (that honourable demon that fought Angel that one time), Nina The Werewolf, and Grue, Champion of Pylea!. They all find out later that they were formed by the massive nerd David Nabbitt, to totally fight evil!

Hahaha! I love the last one. Buffvengers Buffsemble!
I can see Owen being like that one guy that came to Sunnydaly (Buffy's old friend) wanting to become a vampire.

I am still convinced that the place Marcie went to is a branch of the initiative and she is being used in the military.

haha I'm not being very creative today, I can't think of anyone else.

Owen went on to study English in college and spurred on by his encounter with Buffy, turned his focus to Poe. His dissertation was on the origins of Gothic fiction. He is now a professor in a small, Mid-West Liberal Arts college, embarking on a mid-life crisis and thinking about sleeping with one of his students.

(Sorry that was kind of a downer but the guy just draws it out of you.)

Marcie Ross works for S.H.I.E.L.D. and legally hasn't existed since 1997. She has a lake house in Tahoe that the local kids think is haunted.

Marcie Ross proved to be too unpredictable and was cast out of the FBI. She returned to Sunnydale to get revenge on Cordelia, only to find out that she had moved to L.A. The Initiative caught wind that she was in Sunnydale, and held her in the lab to do experiments on her. When Adam opened the containment cells, she was able to escape. Her time in The Initiative caused her to change her life around. She now lives a quiet life far away from Sunnydale, and is trying to become an X-Man.

Owen's thirst for danger never really went away. By day, he wrote dark and depressing poems and stories, by night he roamed the streets of Sunnydale looking for trouble. Sadly, he found it when Drusilla returned to town in Season 5. She sired him, and Buffy staked him while out on patrol. Buffy mourned him by reading Emily Dickinson and eating some Ben & Jerry's chocolate peanut butter, while Willow consoled her.

Parker never changes his ways. After college, unable to get a job, he auditions for every reality dating show on TV. He appears once on Blind Date, which doesn't go well. However, a pretty director's assistant named Shelley falls for his shtick, and they sleep together. After he dumps her, she pours her heart out to her kind new boss Hallie. Hallie of course turns out to be the vengeance demon Halfrek. Shelley wishes Parker were turned into a giant ball of slime, which Halfrek grants. Parker the giant ball of slime is accidentally flattened by a city bus. To cut costs, the city workers just throw the slime down into the sewer.

The swim team live a happy life in the ocean until they are caught in a fisher's net. An opportunistic film director catches wind of this, buys them from the fisherman, and uses them in his remake of Creature From The Black Lagoon starring David Tennent, Sam Witwer, Kristin Bell, Bruce Campbell, and Brooke Shields. The remake is extremely successful, and Universal Studios puts them in their Orlando park as an attraction. While filming the sequel Creature From The Black Lagoon 2: Electric Boogaloo (In Boogalizing 3-D), they break out of their tank, terrorizing the star of the movie Carmen Electra. They were last seen frightening Orlando residents and Disney World park guests. Rumor has it, they may be living inside Splash Mountain at the Magic Kingdom.
