Where Do Vampires Come From?

It is stated on Buffy numerous times that when a person is sired a demon enters their body.

Where does the demon come from?

Does the act of siring create the demon or is the demon in a hell dimension and gets to enter a host?

Why are some vampire demons more vicious than others (i.e. Angelus) and some more complex (i.e. Spike)?

Does the demon go to hell after it is staked or does it cease to exist?

Hmmm tough question that a lot of people don't really ask, or they ignore. Some people believe that Judas was the first vampire, but I still have no idea how Judas became one. Something about he hung himself off a certain kind of tree and became a vampire or something.

really....I never heard of that and I hear lots so cool to know 🙂 ......anyways ummm I guess its basically like a ritual to bring forth a demon from hell I guess....i'm guessing maybe the demon dies with the staking of the body cause lets say for instance like "the Dark Age" episode....that demon switches bodies and I would guess the vamps would be able to do something to the effect if the spirit wasn't destroyed....all speculation of course cause it hasn't been answered by the staff that I know of.

I'd never heard of that either. Interesting. But I did watch a special on the History Channel the other day about how vampire lore came about...

They would sentence someone to death and hang them on a tree. This would only leave some of the criminals unconscious. Then they buried the person. The guy is still alive, so he wakes up, obviously disoriented (like a hungry vampire might be when he/she wakes up). They would generally bleed from the mouth (looks like they were drinking blood).

This was around the middle ages I think, so they did not really have a scientific explanation for this, so they said vampires. They had to kill the "vampire" by nailing the "vampire" back into the coffin or grave to which it dug out of. I'm fuzzy on whether it had to be wood or silver or whatever, but I'm pretty sure that's how they killed them.

Ok I'm done. As for all of those questions...

Those are generally blown off by people, including me. But it's not bad to dig a little deeper and perhaps call Joss out on inconsistency. I could not answer those questions though. I have no idea 🙂
