Well the thread title says it all! How do we fit in on all this? It's very nice of you to help the helpless, but how can we help, except for sending money (I'm a little short).

Well, I'm going to look for volunteer activities and such and post them in here.

Also, you could find something in your area and post it to let others on the boards know about it.

You can also talk about experiences you might have had, and help other people who need to talk about theirs.

This is such a good idea. I'd love to help, but my family has to save up their money...My grandpa's dying of a cancer that can't be cured. Only 2 men a year get it...I hope the research this site is helping out with benefits people.

I donate money at our local shopping centres around here 🙂 i'm actually hoping to become a famous rock star and if i do i'll be donating alot and i mean alot of money to the cancer awareness project.
this is a really nice thing you're doing here Buffy 🙂

Do you know where I could find out about the Volunteer activities? Our Beta Club has been looking for some Community/Volunteer project to get into. I think this would be a good thing to work for because my best friend's mom was just diagnosed with Lung Cancer. I really want to help.

I am unable to donate (being under 18 and very very broke at the moment). But I support the cause fully.

There are so many other things people can do besides giving money.
I have put a banner up on my site, and I'm thinking of writing a BTVS fanfiction relating to it in some way.

Also, I encourage those who visit other boards to post at least one message about this there. I've seen a lot of boards 'pitch in' to help good causes.

I've been a member of the MA Breast Cancer Coalition for almost 10 years (eek, time flies). While I don't have tons of funds, I write when I can for the newsletter. I speak at events (most recently the Dept. of Health - kind of intimidating but fun). I try to raise awareness and try to get the message for prevention. There are tons of events, tons of things to do. Even putting a stamp on an envelope helps in some way.
