So I have been looking around trying to find out any info on weather it is still possible for another Serenity movie to be made, and it's really hard I have found so many mixed reports, some saying it did better then expected, some saying it did terrible, so how did it do in the box-office? And since the DVD sales effected it last time will they be considered this time round, like when the movie goes on sale? And I remember reading in one of the other threads that the actors are signed on for another 2 movies, it was in the Serenity cast interview, so does that mean that universal were hopeful for more movies?

Box Office Mojo keeps a running total on weekend grosses, overall grosses, profits, etc. (Link) Serenity at BOM. Plus, all the charts analyzing this, that and the other that you could ever want. The movie cost $39mil to make. I heard, and can't remember where, of course, that it needs to make $80mil worldwide (this includes theaters, DVD sales, rentals, etc.) before the studio will consider a sequel. Per BOM, it's made a total of $34.8 mil so far, this includes domestic figures up to 1 Nov and overseas figures up to 31 Oct. I think we're definitely on track for a sequel, but that's going to be up to the PTB ultimately.
