i use imesh but i was wondering what Kazza was like. do the Buffy/Angel epis come out sooner on that? as on imesh the Angel epis come out usually after they have been shown on theWB. the Buffy eps are usualy out on tues and i get to see them before UPN viewers! hehe.

I usually get them from my friend who gets them off of the network at her college. So I really couldn't tell you a good place to get them. Kazaa is a really good downloading place though for picture and audio, so video should be pretty good. I've never tried downloading vids from it, cause my internet connection is way to slow. And what's the imesh thing?? I've never heard of it

imesh is the best ive been botherd to D/L. you can prev mpg. videos (Buffy epis) as you D/L them! (aswell as Mp3) so i D/L 1% to see the quality and sit it out till its finished. i go for the 440Mb epis. on an average conection it takes about 4 - 5hrs to D/L a file size that big.

i use kazaa lite to get buffy/angel episodes. its f'n terrible for downloading music though, i use soulseek for that.

Guys if you want to get serious about downloading ep's you need to learn to use newsgroups. See if your ISP provides you with a newsgroup service, this is like email.

If you have the service, you download a newsgroup reader, I recommend Xnews http://xnews.newsguy.com/. Load it up, enter your newsgroup information (the address of your news server), and connect and get your group listings.

alt.binaries.multimedia.buffy-v-slayer is the group you will want to check out. Here there are very large compressed (RAR usually) videos of Buffy and Angel in usually very good quality video called SVCD. Mark them for download by selecting them (usually a bunch of files) and hitting space bar to queue them up, then hit the little blue box at the bottom that says Decode when you move the mouse over it. Un-compress them and have fun!

A few notes, I do not actually download ep's and watch them so I hope this little tutorial works for you. If it does not email me and I'll try and help but this is definetly not for the beginner computer user sorry.

With a cable connection (Shaw, Canada) I download at about 200k/s during peak and about 300-400k/s non-peak. 😀

What is this live feed thing I keep hearing about? Does anyone have a URL?

Bunnies: What do you use to decompress .RAR files? I've had problems. I was using a cracked version of WinRar. The old version of WinZip won't handle them. I need something else that's free.

Do any of you Kazaa and Imesh people have problems with system slowdown and popups. I heard K and I were spyware. Would WinMX or ShareAzA work?

I don't really think this is a suitable place to be discussing this. 😉

Therefore closing and moving.

If you want to discuss it further then please contact each other via PM or email. 🙂
