Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

I'm 28 (almost 29) years old, so in 10 years I'll be about to turn 39... WOW. Weird to think about that way. My kids are now 8 and 3 so in 10 more years I'll be a mom to a senior in high school and a 13-year-old.
In the next 10 years I see myself working a good design job, making decent money to help support my family, even though my husband is planning on being career military. I have no idea where we'll be living at that time, since he'll still be in the Army, and who knows where they'll choose to send us between now and then, although Hawaaii would be nice. 😉
Mostly, I just want our family to be living comfortably, and happily, and settled in our existence.

Well, nothing has really happend the last 10 years so I guess not much will happend the upcoming 10 years either...
But I'm okay with that. 🙂

Well, I'd be twenty-three, and my amazing goals don't happen 'til I'm thirty. 😉

At 23... I would be working to get my Ph.D (marine biology), and that's pretty much it! Oh, and I'll hopefully be traveling abroad a lot and getting tons of different scuba diving certificates.

To be more interesting, in twenty years I would be working as the boss in a marine biology research lab. I wouldn't be married, but I might have a boyfriend/girlfriend. Definitely no kids. Ever. I would have a lot of money, and I would be personalizing my new house with sophisticated artwork and modern architecture (I really want a pool in my bedroom 😛 ). I would be working to revolutionize something (who knows what the main issue will be then? Probably saving the remaining coral reefs) and getting myself in the Women's Hall of Fame. 😉

That's been my plan for years and years, and it's not gonna change! 😀 I'm pretty confident that it's all going to happen, actually.

I love that you're like my mini-me :D
I'll be 27 in ten years. Which means I'll have finished college and grad school just a few years earlier. Huh. I have no idea, career-wise. Maybe I'll be hard at work at an actual job, or maybe I'll be mooching off my parents and sulking over my overpriced degrees. 😀 Or maybe I won't finish my education at all? Who knows? I'm also one of those folks who doesn't like to make plans that are too definite. Depending on who I talk to, the importance of future life plans kind of varies, lol.

Life-wise, I imagine I'll be in a long-term relationship and I probably won't be traditionally married. If I do decide to settle down, that is. No matter what gender the person I fall in love with is, I actually really like the idea of civil unions and domestic partnership. I don't think marriage is for me, and I'm totally for expanding the definition of family. 🙂

And at 27, I'm not planning on any kids yet. But maybe at 30? 😛

In 10 years I'll be 31. Eep.

If I'm still with my current partner I'll have kids by then, seeing as he's 40 so in 10 years he'll be 50. I guess I'll also be married but it depends if he pops the question or not! Ideally, yes though.

If I'm not with my current partner I'm leading a polyamorous lifestyle of luxury in Vegas xD

I'll be living with BDH in vegas!

No, i'll hopefully be done/working on my doctorate in something fancy sounding, but realistically useless in anything but a university setting. I'll also be teaching at the college level by that point. I'll have two iteenage boys in my house (scary!) and one in college. We will live on a small acreage and I will force my husband to have less than 5 dogs unless he has succeeded in turning dog training into a successful career at that point. If it's still just his obsessive "hobby" (meaning he's got a day job still) then i put the cap at 5.
