Modesty did permit me to test the like/ dislike of this story that first appeared back in 2007 in the Watchers Diary,
back then it had some 6,000 views, though I doubt that will happen this time though, I dare say I'd be lucky to get 900 views,
I would be happy with that though, heck I'd be happy knowing that 100 members had gained some enjoyment.

So, here we are . . . . . I altered the name of this work to be this . . . .

Where The Pretty Young Maiden's Dared

Gareth, Willow, Modesty, Buffy and Spike fought their way into the library just as three of the demons pushed Gareth to the floor and pinned him down. Modesty saw Gareth's problem and went to his aid calling to Willow and Buffy as she wrestled two of the demons away from Gareth. Willow and Buffy fought the other demon and eventually killed it. Spike put on his demonic face and killed the two demons and changed back to his human appearance so he could pretend he did not need the vampire within him.

Gareth lay on the floor feeling the injuries that had been given to him, Dawn mystically appeared, surprised she stood by the table used for reference books. “I was enjoying a game of chess with a Cassandra when suddenly I was whisked away to be in this strange place with you guys, so how did I get here but more importantly which one of you guys brought me here?” asked Dawn.

Modesty looked to Dawn and smiled, “I am glad that you got here okay,” she said. Dawn faced Modesty, "I think I recognize you from Sunnydale but I am not sure from where." I never knew you but I often wanted to know you, and what you were." Willow went to the counter and looked at the books there, she wiped a finger along the counter. “There’s only a small amount of dust on the surface here, so who has been looking after this place?” asked Dawn.

Gareth noticed the newspaper cutting on the counter. “It says here that the owner of this hotel has just gone to a convention of holiday locations in the South of Devon I wonder what else the newspaper knows,” said Gareth. Spike was leaning against the counter when Gareth had come up from the basement, Gareth wandered to be beside him before he looked around the rest of the room.

“How is everyone else, is anyone in pain?” asked Gareth. “No one else is hurt, given what did happen I am quite surprised, I hope we can all stay this way,” said Willow.
Buffy said she would give Greaves and Giles a call to let them know about the situation. As she was about to pick up the phone a young woman walked up to her. “It says in the newspaper that your uncle used to own this place,” the young woman said to Willow.

“Yes he was a distant uncle from another side of the family. He died just after he bequeathed the place to me so I wanted to see the place before I decided what to do with it.” Gareth smiled to the young woman. “Are you intent on being a friend to us?” asked Gareth. The young woman faced Modesty who immediately declared, “It has been a long time.” “This is an old friend, Blaise used to live in the semi-detatched house in Silver Street in the village of Ipplepen, just up the road, I am glad to meet her again,” said Modesty

Spike looked at Blaise, “Are you the friend she was thinking of and if so where is she now?”
Blaise looked to the two people inside the door, “They are my friends Androgenous and Tommy.”

“We’d like to thank you for ending those demons, we knew about them and would have taken them on ourselves, so thank you for doing it,” said Tommy.

Androgenous, Tommy and Blaise sat down and looked at the beautiul young maiden, at how she had people face her. Blaise liked that others lusted after her, Androgenous stood so the others could see her in all her glory.

“I do not know how she knows about me but she is right I do like to be the object of desire, though I was ordered to be here, I was told I would be needed and soon,” said Androgenous. “You were ordered, by whom?” asked Tommy.

“I know the one who ordered me here, though I am not sure who she would refer to us as,” said Blaise. “The first of us is here, though I am unsure when will the others will get here.”

She faced the darkened corners of the room. A smart woman entered the room, she stared at Blaise. Blaise returned the stare thinking that the woman liked what she saw then realised who it was who she was.

“I know you don't I?” asked Blaise. The young woman smiled and replied, “You did, once, when I let you see me for who and what I am,” Androgenous dropped to a knee. Not knowing how she knew to be here nor how she knew to be here, are the others going to be here.

Tommy wanted to know who she referred to. The woman replied that the others would soon arrive as has our others. “By that I mean Spike and Greaves.” She looked to the French doors at the back of the hotel,

“Many more are due to follow,” said the woman Blaise wanted to know who else was coming. “The friend of Greaves known by the name Sherrineous, she is one of his important people.” “Who is this Sherrineous?” asked Blaise. “One who leads his kind for him,” said Spike.

“We saw who we thought were ghosts, yet we were wrong we found that out a short time ago when we discovered them to be vampires, luckily we avoided losing if we had fought a fight.”

“Good thing we didn’t get here much earlier,” said Tommy. “One of the vampires was related to Modesty, it is one thing to kill the demons, it’s another to find out that your uncle was one.”

“I saw who I thought was a ghost though my thoughts were soon changed when I saw one of them with a parasol,” said Spike. “To those of you who knew him I am sure you nearly tolerated Spike.

When we all were attacked by those vampires with six or more of who appeared from the back room, well, to cut a long story short Spike came to my rescue and did a sweeney on them, hence we have been good friends since.”

“What’s a sweeney?” asked Tommy. “A Sweeney Todd means that he used to shave some of his customers so that they didn’t need to shave again, ever!” said Spike. “You know what your dad means now,” said Greaves.

He faced Spike. “You are his dad?” At that point Androgenous stood and approached Greaves then went over to Spike and Buffy. “Just as I thought,” she said. “Think the cat is trying to get out of the bag! Anyone want to help it,” said Spike.

“Reckon I understand, I’m a bit of a clairvoyant I don’t just see the dead, I see all. I’m what’s known in some circles as a seer. Spike is a vampire, just like his teacher, Greaves, what I don't know is how he got here so fast, following ghosts should not have done it,” said Willow.

Greaves smiled, “I was coming this way when I joined the chase. I used to live in Cornwall. I used to be married but she died a couple of years ago at the tender age of twenty eight, twenty eight going on five hundred and twenty eight.

We sort of adopted this lad, the pillock has been known to call me dad now,” said Greaves smiling at Spike. “I don’t call you dad all the time, only now and then when the folk in the room will act surprised.

A thought though what happened to the daughters of the Goddess, have you heard from them?” asked Spike. “That was one of the reasons why I was coming here, they’ve still got the farm the Goddess owned, hopefully they will be here soon,

I did let them know you are here so they should be here soon,” said Greaves. Dani and Leia had been happy to hear from their old friend though they said they didn't ought to refer to him as their old friend even though they meant they had known him for two hundred years.

He thought they thought he was an old man. Dani and Leia grinned to each other, feigning surprise. Willow suggested that they be here late tomorrow morning. Dani shook her head, “I thought you would have guessed that Leia and I are both vampires.”

“Hang on, are we human becoming a minority around here, hopefully things will get better when our friends Alex and Sherrineous get here,” said Willow. “Not really, although Alex is a human, Sherrineous isn‘t,” said Greaves. “I am not sure what she is but I am sure she isn't human.”

“A few years back, on our farm near Tintagel. I had to bury one of our horses, I was being helped by Sherrineous at least she said it was help. So there I was digging this ruddy great big hole when someone let loose with the supposedly funny comments.

I returned the comments and I thought that I had come out on top, until a couple of nights later and every-one started calling me Graeves, the name stuck. It seemed that Sherrineous had the last laugh.”

During the small hours they all chatted quite happily with each other, Dani and Leia said that they were all welcome to their place the next evening.

Dani welcomed them into the farmlet she shared with Leia, some food and drink were on the table for those visitors who wanted to partake of the goodies. After an hour at their house Dawn asked Dani why she wasn't eating any of the food,

Spike told Dawn that both Dani and Leia were like him. They were attacked one night in the centre of the town by a vampire. Not knowing how to react to them she said she was sorry to them. She looked about the room, her stare became fixed on the dvd's.

“I never thought about vampires watching films,” said Dawn. Spike looked to Dani then at Dawn. “Not sleeping means being awake all day and night, that can make our existence really boring so we pass the time watching the telly,

when that gets boring we pass the time by choosing a dvd to watch,” said Spike. Dawn took interest in what films they had, discovering they had a large collection of vampire and sci-fi.

“I do find it odd that you like vampire films,” said Dawn. Leia grinned to Dawn, “It is fun to see what the humans think we are like and as for science fiction they seem to think it is okay to include ghosts stories,

I do think that is stupid plus finding what a dvd is about gets harder as they do not write much on what is in a film on the cover. They do write loads on what films the actors or the crew have been in, like that is at all relevant,” said Leia.

Dawn found herself becoming understanding and even liking the vampire Leia. Later that evening as Dawn was standing outside of the backdoor Dani stood next to her, “What are you looking at?” asked Dani.

“I am embarrassed to admit it but I actually do know very little about vampires.” Dawn turned to face Dani and shruuged her shoulders. “Leia and I were always the best of friends, we were in the choir at a church in town until the day we were turned.

We stopped going to church because of what the vicar had drummed into us, it was after that we grew to learn just how much the vicar lied to us. He had told us over and over again that because we were vampires we were demonic creatures who believed the Devil was evil,

when we became vampires we were able to know the truth of how the Devil came to be, he was once an angel who God ordered him to watch over those he had killed in Gods name.

The numbers of the dead increased and the Devil continued to do as God wanted. It was God who sent the many people down to hell not the Devil. The vicar said those who believe in hell were devil worshippers when God had the devil do as he ordered.

Even though we are vampires we do not worship evil, we do only what we have been ordered to do. “How many vampires do not kill people, how many only drink the blood from plastic bags?” asked Dani.

Dawn began to see Dani's view. “And as for walking about and seeing during the day or night we vampires do see quite well at night but it isn't the sunlight that affects us it is seeing in the light,

bright things hurt our eyes so daylight does become a problem for us while seeing at night gets increasingly better. As for being stabbed in the heart with a wooden stake, the religious people say that a stake through the heart will kill us,

that can be said just like any human, holy water does nothing and about the depiction of a cross, yet another falsehoods that is claimed to be the truth by the church, as if they would know.

The only way they would know that is if they are told that be demons, even though they say that demons only tell lies. That means the man of God repeats what the demon says and claims it is the truth, making him the liar.

Dawn tried to understand all of what she was told though ultimately she began to be confused. The doors of the hotel were suddenly and savagely pushed open. Spike turned to see who it was, he saw Fiona staring at him, he sheepishly smiled to her and froze.

“Does she remember me?” asked Spike. Willow smiled to him, “I Think so, though I feel like she should have expressed herself a bit better though. She should have what with her being a hunter of demonic creatures,” said Dawn,

“Fiona’s a what!” exclaimed Spike. “I thought it was a bit much, how you kept on about fancying him,” said Dawn. “Dawn!” shouted Fiona, “Then she admitted that she seemed to remember Dawns elder sister telling me you used to have a crush on him.” Spike knowingly smiled to Dawn

“Oh, really,” said Spike, he smelt Dawn’s hair, “hmm berry and vanilla scented shampoo, my favourite. Oh, you do smell good.” Dawn wanted to disappear.

Greaves looked at Garet then questioned him, “Are you staying here?” Garet did not know how to answer Graeves. “I am not sure, at the moment we are all squatters,” replied Garet then he added a bit more of an explanation.

I was just told, the one we need to stop while we are here is known as the Som-rotan, he who has become known as The Prince of Demons. And some of his other vampires from trying to invoke the demon Baal.

Spike felt happy when he announced you are a vampire now, Garet spun around, smiled then replied. “Yes, I am.” “Good question, Graeves,” said Spike, “and you deserve a good answer, so I’ll shut up and let Dawn answer this one.”

Dawn was surpised that she was the center of everyone's attention. “What are you on about?” asked Dawn. “Spike does like to hear your voice, as if you didn't know,” said Fiona.

That evening all of them had gathered in one of the rooms, as they needed to decide on what they were going to do. Andrea said they’d all be welcome to stay at there. “That’s good as the Merry Maidens will be arriving soon,” said Sherrineous.

Garet said that he would get in touch with the local police station to see about setting up an Investigators business. Pitts suggested that one of the ex-council vans be bought, so that they could look like a proper business.

Graeves said that he and Alex were improving the security system. He also said he could set up a museum and have a training area for any more demon hunters that may visit.

That and an area at the back for a book shop or library, and as there were only a few see-ers, a head-quarters could be started there as well. There was much discussion about a roof over the car parking area.

There was much hilarity and argument when it came to choosing a name for their business and a design logo for the van, after twenty minutes or so the name was ultimately agreed as ‘THE MYTH INVESTIGATORS’.

A logo with the name curved over the top of a full moon and two rampant winged unicorns below the moon facing inwards, with fluorescent colouring around the outside of each item.

Graeves came into the main room at noon the next day feeling rather pleased with himself, unfortunately there was only Alex and Pitts in the office. “I’m going to start a new shop here.

The others all faced him, "A new age magic shop as part of the museum which I will call The Museum Of Mythological Artefacts.” Alexandria and Spike visually agreed with each other.

“I also decided to sell Tarot cards, rune stones and crystals and maybe some new age books and some other magical trinkets.” “You can't beat a good trinket,” said Spike.

“So, if you two would come with me I can try and figure out where to put stuff and what colour to paint the place,” said Greaves, trying to ignore Spike’s comment.

Once inside the door to the museum Spike stopped and looked around, he grimaced at what he saw, “It looks like a bit like a crypt in here,” he said. Greaves asked Spike why he thought it was like a crypt in there.

“'Cos there is bugger all in there,” said Spike. Greaves groaned then told Spike, “I did that on purpose, just to make you feel at home,” said Graeves sarcastically.

“Alexandria could you please give me some ideas about where could I put the display cases?” he asked. Alexandria looked about then suggested he put a few partitions up so you could have separate areas for different subjects, just keep the partitions low.

And by putting in a few bench seats you could have section defined, for the new age material. “Greaves, is the Shadow Caster thing here?” asked Spike. Greaves smiled as he heard the drumming echo in the background with some screams in the foreground.

He noticed the shadows of the aged dead trees on the walls, the visual aspects will help make each visitor feel an atmospheric ambience. “If you put it on a ledge near your counter."

Graeves agreed saying I could activate every hour or so, it would create a mystic feel to the place, it'd make bloody good word of mouth advertising as well, I hate to admit it but yes Spike that was a good idea,” said Graeves.

"And in the morning everything will seem even better, there is nothing like a new dawn to make everything seem better, as long as you don‘t try and look at the sun,” said Spike.

Dawn faced them, questioning them, “I am not new, I do not like that being said of me, thanks for the sentiment though,” said Dawn. “I am not to sure that I am in favour of it either,” said Graeves.

“You guys take the fun out of a warm, sunny, Sunday morning,” said Buffy.

“At last I am going to enjoy having a evening off, being able to relax in a big old house that overlooks such scenic beauty,” said Tommy. Graeves smiled at all of the building that he had seen.

“So where do you envisage that we will stay, I used to live in a small apartment in one of the suburbs on the outer edge of St. Albans, even though others did comer to visit but when they did I noticed just how small my place was,” Graeves looked at the building again, “I do like this place.”

“Like you say Graeves, this place is way better than that little place you had before, handy as well ‘cos there are many more Riders on their way here,” said Tommy. Wandering into the room from a door no one has seen before came Dawn and Spike.

“Oh hi! phew, this place goes on forever, I think I must have found a few secret passageways and walked along them twice on the way we found Fiona, I think she was lost as well,” said Dawn, “Well, I didn’t show her that passageway twice on purpose, I sort of got lost as well,” said Spike.

“I was going to have a shower early, like really early, before even the sun had come up. With Spike we’ve been trying to find our way around here since then! Do you have a guide book for this place, because that would be a really good idea,” said an exhausted Dawn.

“Well as you have seen most of this place guess who I'd vote to make a guide book for this place,” said Tommy. Spike glanced at Tommy, “Guess who her assistant will be,” said Spike.

Dawn agreed with him. Graeves smiled at the woman who just entered the room, she greeted everyone. “Hi there I am Annaleise.” Graeves was visibly impressed, “Who or what are you?” asked Buffy.

“She is another like me,” said Fiona. “Which means a lot considering we know nothing much about you,” said Spike. Graeves smiled to her, “I doubt she is much like my wife who died two years ago, she was twenty eight years old, going on five hundred and a bit,” said Graeves.

They were interupted when the telephone began to ring. Fiona picked up the receiver and listened for a minute before she put the receiver down. “That was Davina, she said a few more Riders would be following them.”

Dani and Leia wandered into the room, “I read about a Satanic cult re-emerging near here at a country village that is now known by the name Balshaven though it was originally known by the name Baals Haven.

It seems the residents of the village worshipped the demon Baal,” said Dani. “I agree that we ought to do something about that but it'd be best if we sorted ourselves out,” said Graeves. “Doing what?” asked Dawn.

“Just an idea but a good start will be to arrange to do some ESP tests I could arrange some postcards to put on shopfront bulletin boards then once established a few adverts could be put in the local newspapers,” said Graeves.

“To start with have a couple of seats and a desk will be good enough,” said Dawn. Spike arrange one of the nearby rooms to be a New Age book shop complete with several glass covered cabinets and the plan that Graeves had long had became a reality.

He had a museum that he could promote local myths, in part of the museum he put books about new age religions, a feature of the bookshop was a Shadow Caster.

It created just the right ambience, even the screams were just what was required. Early the next day while Graeves was looking at the empty museum he turned on the Shadow Caster, the sound of drums and the screams gently floated around the room.

Willow came in and said, “We just had a phone call from some Gallery of the Moon type of shop, they have a girl who wants to know if we do hypnotism.”

Graeves was impressed that the flyers had created such a quick response, “I guess there is someone here who can do hypnotism,” said Graeves. Several hours later a girl fronted the museum to be hypnotised.

Gareth went to see her, he returned saying she looked only sixteen dark almost black hair, collar length. “The girl introduced herself to me, she said her name is Gillian, she was not slow about making her thoughts known,” said Gareth.

He turned to get her but discovered that she had followed him to the museum. She was impressed at the Shadow Caster which Graeves turned on and started to get Gillian to do the ESP cards, though he was quite surprised by her ability.

Until Fiona walked into the room, about to introduce herself to Gillian Fiona faced Graeves, “This is Gillan, she is an immortal like Annaleise and I Gillian is a Rider.”

Surprised Graeves asked where Gillian came from. Fiona smiled to him, “All Riders live in the stones of Stone Circles like myself and Davina, we come from the stone circle known as The Merry Maidens near Penzance.

Spike smiled as he listened to the Shadow Caster, “You just ignore me,” he said to anyone else who entered the museum until he saw a strange girl. Who are you?” he asked.

“My name is Anna, I have come here to be with the other Riders,” said Anna. She turned to face the girls behind her, “These girls are Saffron, Molly and Julie,” said Anna. Fiona greeted them. “That makes seven Riders so far,” said Fiona.

"I should add that Gillian is not the sweet sixteen you think she is, Gillian is from the early 4th century," added Fiona.

Where The Pretty Young Maidens Dared Part 6

Not long after nine in the morning Graeves met with Fiona to discuss the name of where they were, Graeves said there wasn't a specific name nor was there a word for the type of building.

Fiona suggested that it might be in the best interests of the patrons to the mythological museum if the place was to promote the name Maidenscombe Castle for its home.

Graeves agreed, he stated that rooms suitable for the keep fit exercises of the Riders be limited to being below the main rooms, Fiona told Graeves that there might be twenty or more Riders stationed there while many others would probably pass through there daily.

Graeves suggested that the basement rooms be set aside for them, a benefit was that the rooms would be cooler. Fiona added that they would soon surprise the other residents there.

When Graeves asked how the surprise might be known to the people there, bearing in mind folk from the wider community might soon be visiting there. Fiona smiled then opened her suitcase to show Graeves her battle uniform and the weapons they would carry.

Fiona took the suitcase into a separate room returning some twenty minutes later wearing her full battle dress. Graeves was impressed when he saw Fiona in Brown leather knee high boots a short pleated skirt that boasted a wide belt which held a sword on each hip.

Fiona had a soft leather tank top that was covered by a hardy brown leather jacket, a strap from her waist passed to a fitting on her shoulder a cross bow was attached to it, it could be fitted to her belt at the rear or when loosened it could be held in front of her.

Many bolts (arrows) were placed in a tube on the opposite shoulder, Graeves was very impressed at her appearance. Graeves questioned why they were called Riders as he had only seen them on foot.

Fiona took Graeves to the rear of the place, she pointed to the field next to where they had just come from, then went with him into that field, “This is where we keep them though we have them be invisible when they are not in use,” said Fiona.

Graeves stuttered as a winged white unicorn appeared walking toward him, Fiona stroked the neck of the animal, “Seeing each one of us being sat on and flying on a unicorn is quite an amazing sight, apparently,” she added.

Walking back into the castle Graeves kept quiet, not because he had to but because he didn't know what to say. Especially because he knew that Saffron would be there and he had already accepted that she would ask him something he should not answer.

Graeves was looking at the stones on the wall when Saffron asked him whose reflection he saw when he looked in the mirror. Graeves was confused by her question, he replied that how could a vampire who had no reflection could see another's reflection in the mirror.

Graeves was unable to answer the question sensibly. “Mind you,” he said, “If Spike did suddenly get a reflection I bet he would cut himself shaving in the morning tomorrow, not that the time of day has any bearing on the answer.

After all those years of shaving without a mirror suddenly seeing himself in reverse in a reflection will be fun especially when he sees all them lines on his forehead.”

Spike was grateful when the telephone began to ring, it was a welcome interruption, he grinned as he learnt it was a local restaurant owner, she said about a man who had paid for a group of eleven peoples meals in cash, the owner was told the bank had refused the money as it was counterfeit.

Though it was not a large amount of money the owner wasn't that upset but she was because one person not paying was one person too much. On visiting the restaurant with Fiona and Dani, Graeves the next evening.

Sat at a table Graeves told the owner that they needed a good description of the man, then discovered that the description was quite poor. Although some of the restaurant staff had seen the man so it was thought he lived locally.

His description was passed to each one of the Riders and the restaurant staff. Even after a weeks searching the local towns no one was able to say anything about the man.

So the next area of towns was to be covered, having flying people in the search helped though it proved to be ultimately unhelpful. Graeves contacted Dani to find out if she had heard anything.

But Dani said that she knew nothing as such though she said that a group of people had started a business in the local town investigating Supernatural happenings, though it may be not what they investigate they might know something that was helpful.

Graeves left a message on their answering Machine, two days later they got a message of a person behaving in a strange manner in one of the villages north of the town.

Acting on what was said Graeves, Spike, Dawn and Fiona took a car into one of the villages, during that day they went to six villages. A girl from where a message was left asked Graeves if he was something to do with The Museum of Mythological Artefacts?

She stated that she had seen the hoof prints in the snow at a village near here which is normal but the hoof prints appeared to have been caused by a biped. She also said she had heard reports about another strange occurrence not far from the middle of the town of Dawlish.

She also said of a man acting suspiciously by the river Exe where the estuary was two miles wide. When they went there Fiona began to feel ill in a certain area. She suggested that other Riders should be called to assist them.

A young woman and her mother stood at the door of the museum. Willow approached them. “Hi, can I assist you?” asked Willow. The elder of them faced Willow. “Yes my daughter is looking for some books about dream and dream interpretations,” she said.

“Well, maybe I can help you, what sort of dreams have you been having?” asked Willow, a bit unsure what it was about these two that seemed to draw her to them. “Hi, my name is Sandy, this is my mother Susan.

My dreams are a bit on the weird side.” “Oh that’s Okay, I’m good at weird,” said Willow. “I hope so, I see people in my dreams, but they are introduced to me by this person, I think he is a man.

He had an odd looking face, then he tells me everyone else's names,” said Sandy. “At first my husband and I thought that our daughter Sandy was a little crazy, so we took her to be checked out by a psychiatrists.

He said that she was as sane as anyone they knew, she was just having some strange dreams.” Willow looked to her. “That was not a pleasant thing to have to go through,” said Willow.

“Mum, I think she is one of the people in my dreams.” “Yes, you are right,” said Willow realising who Sandy and Susan were, she also knew that Sandy’s dreams were prophetic.

Her mother was incensed by her daughters claim. Willow faced Sandy “Who who told you to come here?” she asked. “Well my mum told the police about me, and this detective, he is D.I. Watts.

He said to ring The Myth Investigators as they were good at this sort of thing and that they knew some people who do this stuff, anyway I rang this place and well here I am.”

“Strange to think my daughter and I are only here because a dream told us to come here.” “So in these dreams Sandy, who else were you told about?” asked Willow. “You, Davina, Buffy, Dawn, Xander and Fiona there were several other names but I can't remember every one,” said Sandy.

“Sandy, you had prophetic dreams, just a minute,” Willow went out to the back rooms she spoke to Graeves then returned. “Now about your ‘dreams’, all those names you said, well, I know who they are.”

Sandy turned to her mother, “Mum this is great, it means that I’m not crazy,” said Sandy happily. Willow smiled to them then invited them to be in the back room as they walked they chatted to Sandy.

In the room Graeves asked Willow why she wanted him to get everyone in there?” “Sandy is a Rider to be, I was told to expect her.” Several other Riders walked into the room, they greeted Sandy.

“So Susan, were you aware that there is a bit of demon in your daughter?” asked Willow. Susan's face dropped. Sandy and her mother raised their eyebrows. “You did say demon didn't you, how can my daughter be a demon?” asked Susan.

“Being a demon is not such a bad thing, there are several full demons here, Gods demons plus I said that your daughter is only a small part of a demon and she is lucky she is.

As a Rider she could live in one of the stones of a stone circle, to get into the stone she needs to have a part demon in her, oh and the Rider part of her, she will ride a winged white unicorn. Sandy's eyes began to fill with tears.

Smiling she asked “Do I ride on a winged Unicorn?” “Just so that you are aware of it there are many immortal beings here others are on their way here. Some of the women Riders are servants to a couple of the Goddesses.

“Thank you telling us, thing is, I believe you,” said Susan. Gods vampires are nice people they are Spike, Graeves and the two about to be here are Dani and Leia. “So Sandy, have you ever met a Goddess before?” asked Willow.

“As a rule I try not to tell people about my contacts with the deity's,” said Sandy. She apologised “Sorry, I was just mucking you about, I’ve never heard of, nor have I met a god, gods or a Goddess.”

“It’s a bit awkward telling you about me, but here is the thing, all these people, they are all scouts, spies for my boss, I lead part the armies of good, when we are told who or where to fight, we fight,” said Fiona.

“Just a thought, how many of the unicorns do you have?” asked Sandy. “We have just over two thousand of them, there used to be more, trouble was when they died in battle they would be allowed to graze here on earth.

Unfortunately word of them grew and the humans killed them for their horns, just as well they didn't know about their wings. Killing an animal when it is already dead was a bit of a problem when bringing them back to life, so their grazing rights were stopped.”

“I was going to talk about that,” said Graeves, “the theory is that each Rider will have a see-er who trains her in the art of control their in-built powers of control and concentration, to teach the importance of balance of how to fight using all the powers of.”

Just then Fiona twisted her head to one side. “What is it?” asked Susan. “Some-one is talking to Fiona, I don’t know who though,” said Graeves. “But there is no sound,” said Susan.

“Yes, they are talking telepathically.” “How will we know when they are finished?” “She will tell us,” commented Graeves. “Hope,” said Willow. “Here,” replied Hope. “Come here Hope,” said Willow.

“Okay,” said Hope, a little suspiciously. “I am to enable you to begin your voyage into the world of magics, personal magics that is said Willow. “I will teach Hope how to harness the power of the human.

To use all of nature to help her, somebody once said that all the animals are yours to have control over, I'll teach her to control the abilities of the animals,” said Mark.

Over time Dawn become good friends with Hope, they would often sit together at one of the outside tables on the patio.

Time was when Dawn asked a question she had long been wanting to ask for several weeks. “Where do you come from,” asked Dawn. Surprised by the unexpected bluntness of Dawn's question Hope responded with, “I cannot remember where or even when I was born.

But when I became a Rider my unicorn and I went to one of the stones in the Stone Circle known as the Merry Maidens that isn't far from Penzance, down towards the end of Cornwall. The actual stone is a portal and just as well as there is a young woman in the stone,

the woman was sentenced to live in the stone by a leader of the church because she was caught dancing on the sabbath, though I have no idea how a man of the church could cause magic to happen.

My unicorn and I went to a valley where we could relax. Each of the Riders are linked to one of the stones in a stone circle throughout the myriad of stone circles or barrows through out Britain, although I have no idea how many of us that is, hundreds or maybe thousands at a guess.

Not that it matters as we are immortal beings so the line of us is never ending. As the bible states, the line of the good is never ending. “When you do ride out is there any set method?” Dawn asked Hope.

“Normally half a dozen of us will sit at the edge of the circle with their cross bows pointed outwards at the ready to protect those who rise up out off the circle,” said Hope.

Dawn smiled at the thought of a lot of winged mounted unicorns flying up out of the circle, “How many could rise up from the circle?” asked Dawn. “That depends on how many are in the valley at the time, your guess would be as good as mine," said Hope.

it might be twenty or it could be two hundred, maybe two thousand one way of judging how many will depend on the number of Riders that get ready to protect,” said Hope.

Dawn looked up into the sky above the stone circle she considered in awe the spectacle of all those Riders on Winged Unicorns rising up from circle. “Just remember that they have been flying in a wormhole prior to your seeing them,” said Hope.

As the last of the Riders would rise up out of the circle Dawn imagined Hope could signal for the Riders holding the crossbows ready to protect to join the other Riders on unicorns. Dawn asked Hope, “Do you know where they and you going this time?” asked Dawn.

Hope breathed in, “There has just been a report the devils son having been found not that far from here, it could be we will all be going there. You had best stay out of the way and watch the spectacle as I dare say when every Rider rises up out of here the spectacle will be something to behold.”

Dawn grinned and was about to speak when Hope suddenly interrupted her, “Can you feel warm air rising up from the ground, it is almost a rush of air,” stated Hope. “Meaning,” said Dawn.

Hope had only just stepped out side the circle as a funnel of blue rushed upwards forming the end of a trumpet, it curved into the sky above the circle. Dawn was shocked as suddenly vast numbers of the white winged unicorns flew up into the night sky and they kept rising up into the night sky.

Dawn had never realised there were so many of them. As she had been instructed to by Hope Dawn went to sit outside the circle. Sitting on a grassy knoll Dawn gasped at how many there were, she had expected a few hundred but never had she imaged it would be the tens of thousands of Riders.

They flew to a from the base of the several hills, the Legions of the Son had spilled into each cavern's entrance at the upper slope of each hill. The Riders followed them into the caverns, blocking their escape.

The Riders began to systematically end the Legions of the Son, the unicorns called out their joy as the Sons legions died. The Riders lovingly became overjoyed, eventually the Sons Legions were defeated and then they called to the leaders of them.

Not knowing where the Son had hidden himself the call was made to the Goddess, she felt where the Son had hidden himself. She called to God and the Sons father.

They flew amongst the clouds pulling massive balls of lava into their hands, suddenly God and the Devil let loose the balls of molten lava and threw them into the chasm where the Son had hidden himself.

The end had come, he that had wanted to be known as the anti-Christ was killed, the Son was no more. The devil could relax and do as God wanted him to do, to be a caretaker for those who God sent to be in hell.
