Which Big bad do you relate to?

My definition is:

Active for at least half a season
Has a plan
Is defeated by Buffy in the final* episode of the season (anyone out of the frame before then is either a Dragon or Disc 1 Final Boss)

This leaves the Master, Angelus, the Mayor, Adam and Glory

I guess I would choose Spike because he started off as someone creative but then someone twisted him into something else. He also had clear maternal issues. He had a kind, creative mind and then someone took advantage of his vulnerability. He then proceeded to have more and more issues, with his actions becoming more harmful. Meanwhile, as he became a harsher, colder person, he also had a soft spot for people he loved. Eventually, that soft spot led him to fight for change.

I would choose Spike for similar reasons! Very creative but discouraged and labeled as an outsider by others/society, which caused him to try to change himself. Often more invested in the people he cares about than they are in him, and can get very hung up on this.

If we are talking BIG bads as in end of season villains, I would choose Dark Willow.
