Death to a cast member in S5???

Last time we saw member of the Fan Gang actually die, was Doyle in S1. I think the show is past due for a shocking death, as much as it is to think about that it would be quite interesting. So if someone dies this season who do you think it will be and what do you think the cause of death will be?

As much as I hate to say it, I fear it will be Cordelia.
There's definitely been some friction between her and Joss, if you read the interviews, they never wanna talk about each other.
We all know what happens if people fall out with Joss, they die, at least, thats what I heard about Tara's death in Season 6 anyways, but thats probably not true!
Ok, I'll shut up becuase ramblings bad for my health, my doctor told me so 😉

I don't know wether Cordy will even be there, so I don't think so, I'd guess either Wes or Lorne would die, it would make the most sense, they have the least interesting storylines imo.

You're right... At least the part about it not being true. Joss had planned Tara's death (originally supposed to be Oz's) years in advance. Infact, that and the whole Dark Willow arc were supposed to have taken place in Season 5 (with Glory killing Tara instead of Warren), but Joss liked Willow/Tara so much that he gave them an extra year before tragedy struck.

Oh my God!! i told everyone about the season 5 thing in my thread but nobody believed me!!! now somebody else says it so it must be true!!! sorry guys thats just bugged me for a while!

I dont think Joss plans on killing off anyone this season seeing as he already let go of Connor and his big leading lady Charisma Carpenter.

I think that No Angel is on to something. I have not heard anything about a fall out between Charisma and Joss, but I thought she was just going to stay in the coma because of Charisma's pregnancy. If someone is going to die, it will be to clean up the whole Gunn/Fred/Wesley nonsense. Since Fred is now the only female on the show (except for the new girl), it will probably not be her. Wesley seems to serve more of a purpose than Gunn, so I think if it is anyone, it will be him. The more I think about it, though, the less likely it seems that anyone will die.

A Cordy death wouldn't exactly be a shock though would it, I mean she's already in a coma. If she passes away in her sleep it's hardly going to change a lot is it.

I never understood Joss' descison to not have Cordelia in season 5, I mean, I understand why he did it, she would have been the longest person to work in the Buffy world, or Buffy and Angel world even.
What I dont understand is that he talks as if Charisma will never be a regular again, like if theres a season 6, will she be in that or not?
This has confused me a lot!

Maybe it's Charisma who isn't really interested in coming back. When actors plays their roles for too long (and play them well), they find it really difficult to do anything else.

Whenever they try to break out and take a movie role or do a guest spot on another show, people look at them and say "Oh look, it's Cordy!" Or whoever it may be.

Look at what happened with Leonard Nimoy (for those of you who don't know who that is, it explains my point exactly). He became so typecast as Mr. Spock that he was really never able to do anything else and eventually just turned his attentions BEHIND the camera.

I love Cordy as much as all of you, but Charisma is still young enough that making a break from Angel could actually help her career. And don't we all want her to have a happy healthy career and be around (albeit in other things) for a long long time?
BTW -
I saw Charisma in the previews for next week's episode of MISS MATCH (the new show on NBC with Alicia Silverstone).

I dont want to see Cordy die, but I wouldnt be surprised if Joss did kill her off. If sumone does have to die from S5, I would like it to be Gunn.

I fear for Wes though becos:
S1: Blown Up
S2: Shot
S3: Slit Throat, Suffocated
S4: Hit Around A Bit
S5 could be when he finally dies

most of you are not thinking from a writer's point of view.. sure, wes and lorne don't have interesting storylines right now, which means they won't die.... there's no point in killing a character if his death isn't a great part of the storyline... if one were to die, i'd say gunn, i don't want him to, but it makes sense...

Gunn dieing doesn't make sense at all, he's going through great changes, which results into good storylines for him, and because Wesley and Lorne don't have an interesting story, their death or living up to it, serves as a good storyline ... I personally think Lorne should be the one to pop, cause he has never had interesting stories and prolly never will have.

Let's say one of the cast members had to die, who would you want it to be?

Im gonna have to say Eve but thats only cause I dont know her and I like the rest of the charachters so I couldnt choose.
