I haven't seen much of season 4, but I always wondered, since I thought Angel left for LA at the end of Graduation Day pt. 2 and didn't come back until Forever when Buffy's mother died. So, can anyone tell me the story behind him showing up at UC Sunnydale, especially since he totally looks like he's about to kick Riley's Iowa ass? lol, thanks.

season 4's 'The Yoko Factor' when Angel turns up in Sunnydale to apologize about what happened between him, Buffy and Faith in LA.
buffy went to LA to warn Angel that Faith was on the loose. but by the time she got there, Faith had already started her redemption, and Buffy couldn't deal, so she and Angel had a fight and buffy left. Angel came back to Sunnydale to apologize for what he said to her.

Oh that's the Yoko Factor Angel comes to Sunnydale cause' of the spat Buffy had with him in L.A. and he wants to apoligize for his behavior then he runs into Riley, Buffy's current boyfriend. :lmao: testosterone spill!!!

Yeah, this episode was one of the highlights of the season. Mostly just to see riley getting a smackdown from angel.

Angel was in 2 episodes of season 4.

But Angel was in another episode before that on season 4. He had watched over Buffy in "Pangs". Which by the way, I don't know if I should start a new thread, but is it just me or did Buffy really need Angel's help or was it more for Angel to understand that he needs to become a champion in the Angel episode "I Will Remember You"? I ask this because the way I see it, maybe Angel needed to prove to the PTB that he wants to be a champion. But the whole fight in "Pangs" seemed weak and Buffy took care of it without knowing Angel was there to help her. Atleast not until all was well anyway. I guess I just don't see it as him needed to save Buffy, but to finish something so he can save himself.
