But the question is which of the hated characters do you dislike the least.... By your answering Conner it implies he was hated and you disliked him. Granted, you disliked him the least to the others listed, but still disliked him.

Nitpicker 😉

Acknowledging a general dislike for the characters in question doesn't mean that you have to dislike them yourself. I'm well aware that Connor is very disliked, e.g. so out of the popularly disliked characters I can say that I disliked him least because I don't dislike him at all.

That's the way I read it too.

Actually that makes alot of sense. I never read it or thought of it that way.

I love, that's right love, both Dawn and Kennedy.

Kennedy huh, controversial choice ;)
Went with Dawn. The actress is really good in the part, and she totally makes sense for the Buffy character in S5&6 mostly as it gave her a new challenge in growing as a person. As she grew she was a very sweet, likeable and strong character.

Yeah guess Eve was a bit weak come to think of it, not sure I would say I hate the character though. On that note suprised Lindsay wasn't on the list. It just came across like a Melrose Place cast-off.

Don't get the hate for Hemony. As a support comic character she works fine. Enjoyed when she was going out with Spike. She had some good interaction with Cordy, and some fun stuff when she first became a vampire. No issue with her character at all.

I voted Dawn. I found both her and Connor annoying initially, but then grew to like them both quite a lot later on.

I think the one I dislike the most is probably Eve. Every scene she was in, I was praying for Stephanie Romanov to materialize and have her annoying ass kicked out of the building. Eve was just inept and dull; not even a fraction of what a vicious W&H bitch should be.

I like Dawn and the "Get out, get out, get out" scene is totally reasonable in the context of the show. Her friends and sister had lied to her and hid things from her and the only one who would let her see the truth was Spike. For the rest of it, Michelle Trachtenberg is a superb actress and you get invested in the idea of a typical teenager of her age rather than an actress standing on her marks and reciting her lines.

But the hated character I like a lot, almost as much as Dawn, is... Kennedy! The rest of the potentials are whiny to various degrees and don't really want to do the job they were born for whereas Kennedy relishes the fight and the training. She is the one who momentarily interrupts Willow's continuous mourning and although Willow misses the mourning, it never gets as bad as it was, so she filled a need, however much Tillow shippers might object. She is the one who helps Willow out of Amy's curse. She may be a spoiled princess, but she is a warrior princess worthy of carrying on the line of the slayer. At the point she appeared, Willow needed a dominant partner to steer her out of her funk. A rebound certainly, but a useful one.

At first I couldn't really decide between Dawn or Connor because they both develop as characters into likeable people.

Like you, I think Connor and Dawn probably improved the most out of all the characters listed here. These are my top two as well, but I actually came out the other way. Except Connor, every character on this list I disliked because of the choices he/she made, and because I don't think anyone really had an excuse for being as annoying as he/she was. On the other hand, I felt that Connor's kidnapped upbringing in Quor'toth + his extreme case of Stockholm Syndrome reasonably justified his behavior. Nobody else on this list has as good an excuse for choosing to behave as he/she does. Connor was probably the most tortured of all those listed here, so I tend to extend a little extra grace to him. Also, at least he has some cool action scenes to make up for all those miserable scenes with Cordy.

I voted Dawn - in fact, I like her. I mean, the 14 year old was willing to die to save the world. They really did make her out of Buffy. (I didn't realize she was 14 when she started on the show!)

I loathe Riley - I see him as a nazi who doesn't ask questions. Imagine Clem in the Initiative, or Lorne. I really dislike Kennedy, dislike Even even more, and the rest are all meh.
