Which is sillier

In the film when Merrick threw a knife at Buffy's face, he held the knife with the width of the blade facing Buffy then threw it. Buffy caught it with the width of the blade upright, so how did it twist in the air?

At the start of the series Buffy was going to punch someone with her thumbs protruding from her fists, if she had punched anyone she would have broken her thumbs.

Which of those do you see as silliest?

I don't remember the movie that well, but I can believe the knife would move. So I vote for the second, Buffy's thumbs out of her fists. Well, she hadn't learned much about fighting then!

For the simple fact that I don't think slayer bones are all that breakable I'd go with the first example. Not a big fan of the movie at all really.
