which nerd do you like more, Willow or Fred?

Fred is cute but i prefer Willow. As the season went on, Willow gets more likable for me, i cannot say the same for Fred. The only thing that i didnt like about Willow was her wanting to destroy the world but other than that she has very few flaws for me, she really comes into her own as her story progressed. I like Fred when she was introduced and she was very cute, but that love triangle took some of her cuteness but also that was kind of the high of her story, she goes more into the background after that.

I never really saw Fred as a nerd. I thought Xander was a bigger nerd than Fred.

I love both so this was hard. But Fred I felt was closer to the type of nerd I know in real life, very down to earth and of course the southern thing just work for me 😛 On top of that I thought Fred had slightly better character progression although Willow had great development as well. Additionally I am a Fresley man so that seals the deal for me 🙂

I think Fred was a prodigy. She was a child genius. She enjoyed conspiracy theories and recreational drugs. That doesnt really sound like a nerd.

Of the attributes you listed she was smart and wore glasses. Awkward and shy? She lived in a cave in a hell dimension where she was treated as a cow. That would make friggin Fonzy awkward and shy.

I voted Willow for the simple reason that I'm not big into the sciences that Fred's a freakin' world-class physicist. She gets published in science journals and everything, she seems to pick up new skills/knowledge incredibly quickly.

I actually think that Fred's waaay smarter than Willow, and Willow is extremely bright. 🙂

I'll probably get annihilated for saying this but I really wasn't keen on Fred. I don't know if it was just Amy Acker's acting but I find her incredibly annoying. I think it's because she comes across so much like a child that I can't take her seriously. She's sweet at times and there are moments that I like her but for the most part I never really got into her character.

This is a tough one, but strictly as a nerd, I go with Fred. She was more of a science nerd than Willow was a computer nerd. Plus I just really love Fred, and Fred and Willo together is just the best thing ever!

I am far more evil than you - I used to love Fred, then I used to really like her - but this rewatch I am untouched. I do like Gunn more, though. And I really like Willow more so it all works out.

When I think nerd, I'm leaning more towards Fred, because I don't really see Willow in later seasons as much of a nerd; in fact I would've liked her to let her nerd flag fly a bit more often.
But character wise, it's Willow for me. I like Fred a lot, but Willow had a lot more impact.
