So, there's a lot of hate for these girls, but which one do you actually like? That is the question!!

For me, gotta give my girl Kennedy some love (cause god knows she needs it with all that hate towards her).

I also liked Chloe and didn't mind Amanda.

I think Vi comes out top for me, but that's mainly because I have an insane love for Felicia Day. Like, seriously, she's just...urgh. Awesome.

I also liked Amanda, I thought she was a very different kind of Potentials compared to the other girls we'd seen up until that point. I liked Molly, too, she was pretty kick ass. And I do have a soft spot for Kennedy, for some reason.

I forgot Molly! I liked her too
Probably Kennedy. She has her flaws, but she's the only one who seems to really appreciate the gravity of what they're facing right from the start. She grates on my nerves a bit at times, but Kennedy at least tries to solve problems presented to her. She at least tries. The other girls, for the most part, just whine, complain and bitch about Buffy. Largely, that's the extent of their contributions. Kennedy isn't always right, but she shows up when it counts.

Kennedy is the only one who actually seems to like the calling of a slayer and is prepared to fight while most of the others bitch and moan and complain. I like Amanda - she seems to be a natural after getting over the shock of finding out she is a potential, but she dies in the final battle and of course Vi as played by Felicia Day, one of my favourite actresses, who gets some of the best lines:

After being shocked by Clem at the Demon bar:

"I could us a shot of that yak urine right now."

Before the final battle:

"These guys are dust."

The only one I remember liking was Amanda. I'm watching Freaks and Geeks for the first time with my sister and the actress plays a girl name Millie in it xD

I feel sorry for most of them.
Kennedy is amazing, she kinda got dealt the bad hand being Willows replacement for Tara so i think thats why theres a lot of hate for her. She is a bit of a whiney bitch but... I love Dawn so I dont mind!

Vi - Did she ever get to be in the opening credits, not as a minor character at the end of the episode?!

I liked Chloe. Only cause she was on Lizzie Mcguire but still liked her

AND CHO ANG!

Chao-Ahn. The rest of them were all terrible. I have to believe they casted them badly on purpose.

And honestly, I think Kennedy would have been more likable if she hadn't ended up with Willow. I think a lot of us (especially me) all wanted Willow to be with Tara, and couldn't accept her with someone else.

I liked Vi, Amanda, Molly...

Honestly, I liked the majority of them. Even like, Rona had her moments of less-than-suck. Kennedy grew on me in the comics so I don't know if she'd apply here.

I think the Potentials were just thrown into a shitty (can we still say that here?) situation and reacted badly, though I agree to a certain extent that they could be pretty whiney.

My favorite would have to be Molly, although that maybe cos I was seriously crushing on Clara Bryant. One of my favorite lines from season 7 comes from Molly: 'I'm a bit puckish myself' = it's English for hungry... always cracks me up, probably because I'm English so the vernacular seemed normal to me, so the other characters' confusion baffled me and made me giggle.

Girls like Amanda, Rona and the others who didn't know what they were before hand, I can sort of understand their reaction. Rona was little more than a child and she was thrown into this world that she barely understood and then had to stand by and watch as the person who she was told would protect her and the rest of the girls put someone else's safety before theirs. Yes, Rona was a bitch and she hated Buffy, but I do think she had reason to at least feel threatened and scared. Her attitude, though compounded by her fear, was no necessary.

And, yes, I agree about Kennedy in the comics, I liked her a lot better then than I did in the show.

Don't you mean peckish?

I forgot about Molly, I liked her too. Shamed she died in the cellar though 🙁 And was sad when Amanda was killed during the big battle. I would have thought she made it. But at least Vi made it.

Yep, stupid typos, although puckish is a little phonetic

I looked up "puckish" and it IS a real word:

playful, esp. in a mischievous way.
"a puckish sense of humor"
synonyms: mischievous, naughty, impish, roguish, playful, arch, prankish; informalwaggish
"he gave her a puckish grin"

Well that's the new thing that I'm supposed to learn every day 🙂

I remember having a soft spot for Rona the first time I watched this season- looks like I might be in the minority there, though.

TBH, I don't think there are any potential slayers that I particularly dislike, but there's really only a handful of ones that we know enough about to like or dislike. Kennedy, Rona, Vi, Amanda, Molly. We don't really know much about Chao Ahn, as most of her appearances tend to be focused around the language gap separating her and the others, and the misunderstandings caused by it, rather than her actual personality. Chloe doesn't appear very much either.

If I had to pick one, TBH I'd probably go for Kennedy. She's a lot like early season Buffy in some ways- she's quite blunt, she speaks out with her opinion, she's not afraid to call out authority figures on their actions, and she's in there ready for the fight when it matters. Since I have spoken about missing early season Buffy in the Buffy we see in S7, it's kind of nice to see a character who exemplifies a lot of the same traits, even if we're seeing them from the perspective of the authority figure instead of her in this case.
