Hey. Just wondering, which BTVS season premiere opening sequence is your favourite? I'm not talking about the first episode all together, just the opening scene/sequence.

1. Welcome to the Hellmouth - Darla and the student in Sunnydale HS.
2. When She Was Bad - Willow and Xander bored out of the brains, and Buffy arrives and fights off the vamp.
3. Anne - "Hey Big-boy, come and get it" - Willow (LOL love that!) Xander, Willow and Oz trying 2 slay the vamp in the graveyard.
4. The Freshman - Buffy and Willow having a deep and meaningful in the cemetary, speculating about college and totally missing the vamp.
5. Buffy vs. Dracula - Buffy's sudden wake up and late night 'hunt'
6. Bargaining - The scoobies doing their thing in the cemetary with Willow on top of the crypt and a bit of help from the Buffybot in absence of the real Buffy.
7. Lessons - Buffy and Dawn in the cemetary engaging in a lesson of slaying.
 
A toughie but right now I´ve to say season 7. Even if the first scene is a potential getting killed. But I love the lesson thing. "You´re stuck?!" And I always have a soft spot for any Summers sister moment. And this shows how far both the show and Buffy herself has evolved.

Ask me in an hour and I´ve probably changed my mind.

Funny, I notice the few of us who voted have all picked odd number seasons. Hrm... Anyways, I choose 5 because it shows to me Buffy's growing need for adrenaline and excitement in order to feel alive - I think she becomes closer to Faith's version of slayer in 5 than ever when she was hanging with Faith. With that said, it also indicates to me that Buffy needs more out of life than she can get from a conventional relationship (even if it is with a commando).
 
S6 is my favorite, I love how the rest of them go on working together, it's adorable!

S1. That was just so amazing, especially if you watch it before knowing who Darla is. I remember how surprised I was, lol.
But there were a lot of good ones.
And has anyone ever noticed they all have something to do with vampired? Kinda logical probably, but still interesting.
 
I would have to say season 7 as well and steal the Kinslayers reason 😉.
It does show how much buffy has grown up and Dawn also, plus the whole vampire being stuck and Dawn being all ' So he's got the power?' Bit amuses me!
Season 6 isunt too far behind though.

I choosed season 4.
It's a great Buffy - Willow moment, we need more of those.

And its extremely funny.

Nearly voted for season six, that was really great, but for me, Its Seven by a whisker - i love that one - crazy Spike, new school, more mature Dawn and mobile phones!

Let´s try again. "I'm NOT talking about the first episode all together, just the opening scene/sequence."
I'm going to go with Season 6, was great to watch the Scoobies fighting off Vamps by themselves again like in Season 3.

Anyone think they did this purposely because there was no Buffy at the start of both seasons?

I love them all but i voted for Season one.... it totally set up the whole show, turning around our expectations of what the scene classically would have been.
 
I voted for 2... for the superficial reason of the blob of ice cream on Willow's nose. A scene I've been daydreaming about, a lot, from the moment I first saw it. (Stoopid ol' Xander later on in the Bronze scene. 😀 )
 
I'm gonna go with S6. I love how all the Scoobies pulled together to take care of patrolling. It was just a shiny moment of 'things go on.' Even though Willow was secretly planning on briginning Buffy back.
 
I was going to vote season 5, Drac's great. But i went for season 1, Welcome/Harvest is too good and the first scene with Darla was def the best opening scene.
 
Probably s4. I don't exactly remember the opening scene (it was Buffy on the UC Sunnydale campus, right?) but I know I loved the episode, so I'll go with that, lol.
 
I went with season one, because I just watched it the other day, AND I do think it's a brilliant opening not only to a season, but to a TV show. Two minutes into the show, we're already having plot twists. Gotta love it.
 
i'm gona have to agree the season 6 one is the one i like best at the moment.love willow telling them where to go and when giles is being chocked by a vamp and shouting for spikes helps who jumps on him then falls off and just stands and lights his fag was brilliant especially as the vamp then suddenly bursts into flames lol. plus i member the feeling of excitment i got knowing buffy was coming back from the dead again, the very first time i watched it lol
