Which season featured Sarah's best acting?

Acting wise I enjoyed her performance the most in seasons 2 and 3, but 5 was probably her best acting, even if it isn't anywhere close to my favorite season. That season, as [MENTION=12670]AnthonyCordova[/MENTION] put so well, challenged her. The role of Buffy changed and her acting was forced to change with it. Dawn added a completely new dynamic she hadn't had to deal with before and the death of Joyce added a new dimension as well. Those forced the character to change.

I'm going to say s6. Yes, I know, very unpopular opinion. And it's not actually because I like this season so much, on the contrary I think it features Sarah's best acting because it's no secret that Sarah disliked that season. Sarah was given material that she clearly did not want to do, and yet she still brings up one of the best performance I've seen from her. It is the season that shows how good of an actress she is because she didn't let her opinion change her work.

Aside from that, I have to agree that s5 was some of her strongest work. The Body really jumps out to me as one of her best acting ever, whether it be BtVS or other projects.

I don't know about whole seasons but I have to give mad props to "Who Are You" when she was Faith in Buffy's body. She managed to nail so many of Eliza Dushku's mannerisms and speaking style without coming off as an imitation.

Looks like I have to with the majority here and say 2, 3 and 5. The Angelus arc and the aftermath would probably be her best, but her mother's death, and her role as Dawn's protector are very close.

Coincidence that these are my favorite seasons? I think not.

I have to agree with those who said season 5. I love her in every season though & I'm such a huge fan of her, I think she is so talented. She just really pulled out all the stops in season 5 though IMO & she always did in emotional scenes to be honest.
