the third, no more whining about the B/A relation, and there was a lot more warmth in the show, plus it had Faith and Oz. On the other hand, it didn't have Tara 🙁 ... but we also didn't have Riley! And we still had Cordy and Wesley!
 
Season 4 was great I loved the whole story with the initiative and Adam. Also Tara was in season 4 and she's one of my fave characters!
 
Season three. Allycat has convinved me that it's the best season, due to the presence of Oz. It took a while, but he did finally pursuade me that Oz is the coolest character ever, and the show was better with him on it.

Yes, I need to be institutionalized, we established that.
 
i enjoyed 3 the most out of all of them, but i did like 4 in the aspect that tara was introduced, but i really wasnt fond of that season....the whole initiative thing wasnt that great...
 
This is so hard when restricting the options to the first four. Two, to me, had the greatest villain with Drusilla, but also the worst villain, with "Angelus". It's just absolutely criminal that she had to share the spotlight with him. Angel is passable when good, but when he's evil, I just cringe from his attempt at acting. To make things worse, Landau is so talented, and so idiosyncratic in her scenes, that Boreanz's performance just comes across as forced and muddled. It's almost weird to me to see such talent and non-talent share a scene, because it gives this surreal effect, not to mention can make one feel ambivalent about the ep's in general.

Three was great, and Angel got a little bit better. Unfortunately, not a whole lot of conceptual effort was put into Faith's street persona, and it came across as almost embarrassing, no fault to Ms. Dushku. Great plot, though, and it's fun to watch Willow's witchiness really emerge. It's hard to choose between two and three. I really, really don't know. Too bad we couldn't have opened up the poll to 5, because then the competition would have been swept away...

Maybe I'll go with three. Yeah three. I'm sure if someone asked me again in an hour I'd change my mind. It's just too hard.
 
I voted for S2. I think it really rocks because firstly Drusilla and Spike were in it and I'm a real big D/S shipper, I just luv the Chemistry between them, they're great together!

Secondly, Angel is in S2 and he is wearing leather trousers (very hot!) and Buffy and Angel start dating, do the dirty deed and he looses his soul. ( i luv it when he's bad!)
 
i think S2 and S3 cause the whole Angel/Angelus was really good, and S3 was good as Angel and Buffy were trying to sort things out and Faith is one of my fav characters.

i like season 2 best but the 1 episode that made me cry more than 1 time was the one where jenny died, i cried when she died, when giles found her in his bed, when he told willow and she cried, when giles and buffy came out of the warehouse and giles cried and right at the end where they were at her grave :sniff sniff:
 
Season 2 was my favourite it's funny but i think that it's my most favourite and at the same time it's my least favourite.Angelus was scary
 
My vote went to Season 3 because of the Mayor - he was just so funny in a weird kind of way. I mean like when he lectures Angel and Buffy as to why they should never be a couple - just too weird because he made sense and was right! 😀

Plus, I really enjoyed Graduation Day I & II. It was hard to choose as I really like 1, 2 & 3 but The Mayor just tipped the scale in it's favor! Next to Glory he is one of my fave *big bads*.
 
Season 2 is my favourite, but 3 comes in at a close second. Season 2 absolutely rocked because Spike, Dru and Angelus are awesome. Spike/Dru is my favourite 'ship, so it's the season I get to see most of it. I like season 3 too, though, because Faith is in it. I adore Faith, I think she's one of the best characters BtVS has churned out. Also, I agree w/ Anya that the Mayor was a great villain. He was evil, but he was just so -- weird and calm and nice about everything. It was cool.
 
Angelus is a god and therfore it would have to be season two i vote for. I love season three and the two seasons rate up[ the tope as my favourite. However season six is a close second. I love the Buffy Angel relationship, and i love the whole Angelus thing, he is so much more sexy whenhe is evil. However the best part about season three was Faith, and the willow Oz thing that is so sweet, and I am a fan of it. So It was hard for me to choose bi\ut i went with 2 because overall it was the Buffy ngel thing that got me hooked.
 
It's a close one. I mean season 4 was GREAT, I mean how could any season ever top that?

Awww, who am I kidding? We all know season 4 was the worst season of all.

I'll have to go with season 3 with season 2 at a close second
 
Only two other people besides me chose Season One. I only started watching it in season two, and I really forgot that season already. I may have chosen season one because I just finished watching the whole season on DVD the past few days, and I dunno, I just thought the originality was there. I really loved the Buffy character season one, the past few seasons her character had annoyed me, but for some reason I loved Buffy back then. I also digged the hair. LOL. Also, I felt the three of them were closer than they are now. They actually acted like friends. I guess it's better to have a small ensemble cast of the five regulars (Buffy, Willow, Xander, Giles and Cordy) instead of ten like they do down the road.
But I'm going to rewatch season two now, so my opinion might change. I just feel that you can't beat season one because it's the developing story line.
