Which of two shows did you like, and which did you like best and how much...'n stuff?

Hopefully, the poll will show a scale with what everyone thinks... the more weight in the top, is points for Angel, the more lower is points for Buffy.
 
I liked both shows but I have to say I liked Buffy a little bit more than Angel.

They were both very different shows even though they were both about vampires and demons, etc. and had some characters in common. Angel seemed a lot more serious and dark.

season 6 buffy is darker than any episode of angel.
I liked both shows completely evenly. Both had things that made them different but I loved them both. If anything I lean a little bit towards Angel, but not enough to say I liked it better than Buffy. I think both shows did excellent jobs being different even though they both were about sorta the same thing.

I feel the same... I really really liked both shows, and almost to the point of liking them equally. But Angel is about the gray area, whereas Buffy is more black and white... and I guess in the end I prefer the black and white opposition most.
 
I love both shows. In the beginning I liked buffy a lot more...cuz I was a little younger and I think Buffy was more for younger peolpe in the beginning. The characters were teenagers and I started watching it when I was about 12. When Angel started I was a lot older so I could identify more with it than with Buffy. But then season 7 came up and Buffy started to get more interessting again...But I think I like Angel a lil more...
 
I like them both equally, but in completely different ways. Even though Angel is a spinoff of Buffy, the shows are so different, they don't seem to have much in common (besides the obvious). I love them both. 🙂
 
When I first really got into Angel (about a year after I started really watching Buffy), I thought the shows were equally good and that I'd love them both just as much. But now, I have realized that I will never love Angel as much as Buffy. To me Buffy is the "perfect" TV show, and even though Angel was really good.. it's not like Buffy, there are too many small things that I just can't like, that just don't work for me. Don't get me wrong, I really do love Angel, oh so much, but it'll never be Buffy, not to me..

I so agree eponinethen...even though both are my favourite shows, I liked Buffy a little bit more than Angel. To me Buffy was a little less darker than Angel and I related more to some of the themes in Buffy (the realistic ones that is). I loved Angel, it gave a different vibe and the characters were strong and likeable, and I loved the show in it's own right, but to me I don't think there will be any other show like Buffy - Ever!

I liked Angel more due to the fact it was darker and I was able to better relate to all of those characters more than any of the main ones on Buffy.

Couldn't rep you but I agree, I really do think Angel is a geat show, far better then other shows, but it will never be as perfect and complete as Buffy

for me, buffy was the better show. it came first and created all of these characters. without buffy there would be no angel.
so for me, buffy always comes first!!

Buffy is 100 times better. I didnt like Angel much. and the last season was the worst. I hated what they did to cordelia, she lost her funniness. Love ya Faith and Buffy and Xander and everybody else, especially Anya
 
I love them both. EQUALLY!

Buffy was more light-hearted, and 'sweet', but still is a amazing show that wasn't scared to try and do different things. Angel was really dark, and scary at times.

In others words, they are both very different shows - but I love them both. 🙂

I agree that Angel was much darker as a whole
Looks like Buffy's winning. That's a shame imo, I think Angel is a much stronger show. It deals with much larger issues, Btvs is generally about the fate of Buffy's friends and Sunnydale (with the occasional apocalyptic situation). Angel is about the fight with evil itself, and delves much deeper into the history of the earth with the likes of Jasmine and Illyria.

But it's also due to personal preference. I find the action in Angel much more exciting, the stronger love element in Buffy just bores me. For some reason I can't rewatch Buffy eps until I've completely forgotten them, wheras there's some Angels I could watch constantly.

And this is probably getting much nearer to personal preference than fact, but I also find Angel funnier. The humour in Buffy always felt forced to me, and often just plain bad. I laughed at Angel much more.

So I voted the second option. I still like Buffy a bit, Faith rocks (although she rocked more in Angel imo). Oz is cool. I enjoyed Spike when he first got his chip (although again I liked him in Angel more). I'd put it at about 5x better.

And I'd put Firefly higher than both. I didn't like to compare it after just a short season, but after seeing Serenity it's clear as to just how much better it is. But I really want another season not another movie.

I agree... well I haven't seen all of FIREFLY to know if I find it the best of all three but I defiantly agree with everything you said about Angel.

I also agree. I liked ANGEL, but I loved BUFFY.
