I kinda liked him better on Buffy. Maybe because there was a lot of Bangel shippage then but still. when he went to L.A he hanged a lot and i think I preferred him the way he was before those changes took place.

I'm not exactly sure which was one was literally better on, I think he's a great actor on both shows.

Though, Angel was his show and he obviously played a more obvious and more important role within the series.

On Buffy however, he played a very important part in season 2, being the big bad pretty much. I think he's a good actor on both and it's hard to decipher his best role.

Some may say Buffy, some may say Angel for some obvious reasons like because it's his show and because he was on for two more seasons than on Buffy.

I mean come on people he did his best performanve on Buffy and that was being Angelus ok so he was Angelus on Angel as well but on Buffy it was a higher standard performance

Angelus was better on Buffy, maybe because of Buffy
He was ok on Buffy..he was pretty cool on Cordelia. He looked best beneath Spike, though!!!!!!!!!

His acting was woeful, when he got his own show his acting really improved. He had mystery on BtVS, he had depth on Ats.

He was only good on BUffy when he was Angelus and when he was in season three, but he was better in his own show cos he stood on his own there and grew as a character. So i voted for Angel in seasons one to five.

I wasn't a huge fan of Angel on Buffy and then I found him to be my fave character when Angel started, his facial expressions, humour etc make him a lot better in Angel than Buffy.

I loved him on both shows. I have always liked Angel, so it's difficult to choose which one I liked him better on.

Definitely Angel. He was really broody on Buffy (not that I mind) and he still was during season one of his show. But in season two, he got a sense of humor and was a bit playful.

Definetly in Angel. In Buffy he was too one dimensional. He was always broody. Except for that time when he turned to Angelus.

I feel the opposite - I think he was too broody in Angel.
He ran the full gamut of emotions while on his show. He might have at times been more broody, too broody, but that was just one aspect of a full dimensional character. On Buffy he was always just Buffy's boyfriend.

I liked him better in Buffy 🙂

Have you ever met my friend Parapraxis. He has a talent for eliciting secret desires from a person.

Got to say I think Angelus was more emotionally freaky on Buffy because of what happened between them. I love when Angelus calls up Buffy in season four and he's dissapointed to discover that it's Faith in town. But as a whole I think David got more material to work with on his own show, and a lot more depth. However I did like Angel more on Buffy, as a person.. it's like they increased his broodyness and isolated him even more over the series making him grumpier as the show went.

Angel. On Buffy he was just...a little on the lame side, especially in season one. He never was really good until he became Angelus. On Angel he started to shine, especially in the second season.

I agree with those who say that he was better on Angel because he was a well-rounded person. On Buffy, he was either broody puppy-love guy or big bad Angelus. Not many layers there (although I love Angelus).

I think as the character Angel he was better on 'Angel', but really that was sort of ineveitable. He was cast member on Buffy but the lead on Angel, he had to be given more to work with. However, the best Angelus moments are all on Buffy. She seemed to bring the best out of him. It would have been interesting if it had been Buffy who came to save the day in season 4 instead of Faith...

Way better on Angel in my opinion.
Helped alot more people, was alot less needy and afraid.
Plus Angel turned out to be a strong leader.
And fought the good fight saving the world numerous more times.
lol ^_^ Much cooler on Angel as well
