So which episode, for you, sums up the appeal of your favourite 'ship?

Has to be a single episode, or possibly a two-parter, that illustrates why these two characters work so well for you.

Also the ship doesn't have to be real.

For example 'Tabula Rasa' is great for all those secret Giles/Anya shippers. 🙂

'I Will Remember You' for Buffy/Angel (for the end scene. 🙁)

'Bad Girls' for Buffy/Faith (Pretty much everything- the opening, Faith's grunting, the heart on the window, raiding the nest, the dancing at the Bronze...etc 😀)

'Amends' for Oz/Willow (yeah, I know its a Bangel episode, but I love all the Willow/Oz scenes)

'Blind Date' for Angel/Lindsey (the look on Angel's face when he realises that Lindsey made it out. Aww...)

And, come to think of it, the ship doesn't even have to be romantic- it just has to work for you.

Any others?

Great topic! Haven't thought about this before, here goes!

Fuffy - Was very tempted to go with Bad Girls like thetopher, I mean it's such a staple Fuffy episode, but instead I'll go with Graduation Day 1/2. I feel like it better represents how they are rivals but how they also have such a deep bond. I think that my all time favorite Fuffy scene is when Buffy visits comatosed Faith at the hospital

Tillow - arghhh I'm having a hard time with this one, there's so many good Tillow episodes, I could do a top 10 😛 I think I'll go with New Moon Rising, I love the beginning or their relationship. It's probably the most beautiful lesbian story I've seen on TV.

Fresley - A Hole in the World. Just heartbreakingly beautiful. Bit like their relationships, which never really took off

Initially I was going to say "Amends" but honestly, for me, when I thought about it's "Forever" actually that kind of sums up my passion for Bangel. Buffy standing by her mothers grave, pressumably for hours, then we see Angel take her hand... That unconditional kind of support, even if it's not every day anymore, it doesn't matter, it's that link... that link that bonds you beyond the trifles of ordinary life. That person will be there for you. Even when you're not together anymore. I think that's beautiful.

Great topic. So many episodes to chose from. If I think of more I'll come back but here's what I've got off the top of my head.

Fuffy-So many good moments, but in terms of shipping, I think 'Bad Girls' is the closest we get to that being a possibility.

Woz- I love Willow and Oz, they are so cute together. I'm going with 'Graduation Day'. Oz panicking by kissing Willow was great. Plus the little moment where he touches her hair and she just shivers a bit.

Bangel-'I Will Remember You'. Such a great episode and it great to see what they would be like if they thought they could really be together. I love it!

Spike/Anya- 'Where The Wild Things Are'. The only parts of his episode for me were the Spike and Anya stuff. I thought they worked well together and had great chemistry. I could have picked 'Entropy' but there behavior was influenced by alcohol.

Also I do love the Giles/Anya stuff in 'Tabula Rasa'. They were great together.

The first episode that came to mind was Once More With Feeling. There's so much going on; Spuffy, Xander/Anya, Willow/Tara etc (and even though it's not a romantic one, the whole father/daughter 'ship with Buffy and Giles).

"Buffy," Season 7, "Bring On The Night," the last scene of the episode, when Buffy comes for Spike. Only the most hard line anti-Spuffy can deny the love in that scene.

"I Will Remember You" for the the Shakespearean melodrama aspect of Bangel, but Taake took the words right out of my mouth with "Forever" being a great example of their more understated, mature older interactions which I prefer.

It's hard to pin down a single episode for Angel/Darla, but maybe the last scene of "Dear Boy."

And the scene from "Amends" for Willow/Oz.

Dear god, I would not know. My favorite 'ship is Tillow/Willara, but all their scenes are so spread out in s4 and s5 that there isn't really ONE episode that stands out. But after some thought, I came to the conclusion of 'New Moon Rising'.

Want to know what my favorite ship with Buffy is? No one. Just Buffy. So I chose 'Becoming, Part 2' because the whole message of the episode is that, in the end, all that Buffy has is herself. As much as I would love to see Buffy happy with someone, it just doesn't seem like she is the 'settle down' type.

For Angel/Darla I'm going to go with 'The Trial' cause he's willing to sacrifice his life to save hers.

A friendship one, I like Tara and Anya in 'I was Made To Love You'. The scene where they are walking and talking and run into April. I really wanted to see them interact more just the two of them. Give them something outside of Willow and Xander.

It's Buffy and Angel for me.

It's difficult not going with something big like "Amends" or "Forever", or even "Chosen". You could make strong cases for all of those episodes that they represent and really get everything about Bangel.

I'm going with "Angel" though, when the two of them have their first kiss. I love that scene, and that episode, because it's just so, I don't know...innocent. That's the most romantic part of Buffy and Angel during the early years, how innocent their love was despite everything. Their first kiss in "Angel" is Bangel at its best 😀

...Jeez...I'm such a girl lol

I think for Tillow it would have to be 'Family' right?
When they dance/float at the end, with the music? That was kind of sweet (a little too sweet some might say...), or maybe 'Seeing Red' right up until the end they're such a great couple... 🙁

'Angel/Darla' I'd go with 'The Trial' too. Angel going through all that pain and torment to save Darla, giving his life for her, and then her being at peace right at the end, content that she'd had her time, but moved by his fighting for her. 🙂

Spuffy 'Something Blue'
The only real time these two acting like an actual couple. This is what Spike/Buffy should've been. Snarky and fun, instead of all that horrible painful stuff we saw throughout S6. By S7 it was just a retreat of Bangel but here it was its own thing.

Buffy/Giles- maybe 'Passion' mainly for the end scenes, the closeness that comes through shared pain.
Or 'Checkpoint' where Buffy fights the Council for him. I imagine that Giles was very proud of her after that speech. 🙂
