Okay, so yeah....he wasn't a big fan of either Angel or Spike (and we see the fight of all fights between him and Harmony 😉 ) but he did fight side by side with both of them and occasionally shared quips and moments and I really am just thinking about this after the whole other Xander thread I weighed into and I know I'm kinda rambling now....

So yes, which Buffy lover-boy vamp or personal demon do you think he liked more?

Tueuse de Vampires

hmmm...who do YOU think?
Uhm...non, really. I was seriously thinking about it, but never really liked any vamp. He hated Angel enough to send him to hell (technically he was to blame because he just didn't deliver Willow's message), he always hated Spike beyond telling (remember how he wanted to kill him after he saw that Magic Box sex tape?), he had that catfight with Harmony...okay, now I'm out of choices to vote for.
There was also Dracula which he called the Master (but I'm guessing that didn't make him any more likable to Xander)...Ohhhhh, there was vamp Buffy in Nightmares...he kinda liked her, she should be in the poll.

Actually, I find this quite difficult to answer.

Annoying vapid whore; a vampire that killed Jenny Calendar, 'stole' the girl he loved, then lost his soul and tried to kill her and the Scoobies and tortured Giles before leaving and breaking her heart; or another vampire that is an obnoxious git, has no soul (til season 7), attempts to rape Buffy and has numerous (failed) attempts to kill them all.

I'd have to say, I reckon Harmony was the best of a bad bunch. Way I see it, is he hated her when she was alive, he hated her when she was dead.. I say hated, I mean more 'pain in the butt'. She might have planned to kill them, but she was never really a threat as such, and the closest they came to killing eachother, was pulling their hair and catfighting, girl-style.

But as for 'like' I don't think he liked any of them. He worked with them when he had to, but he didn't like any of them. Just different levels of despising them.

I'm betting Xander felt Angel had one or two redeeming moments.
He wouldn't admit Spike's redeeming moments under waterboarding.
Harmony... He would waterboard her himself.

I seriously don't know who he hated more Angel or Spike. On the surface I guess he would seem to hate Harmony the least. But seeing how she's a soulless undead, I think that when push comes to shove, he'd stake her first out of all three. I think the reason his attitude toward her is less hostile is because she clearly belong to the other (evil) side and he doesn't have to look at her as a person, whereas with Spike and Angel, much to his disliking, he has to look at them as persons. This means he can hate them for a lot of different deep-rooted reasons, whereas with Harmony it's just hatred of the vampire=evil variety.

Any way, the vampire he obviously hates least is Dracula.

Hello Cutie
Karma for dracula.. I can see that he'd hate his master least... same as Giles hates Dracula's wives least, obviously!
I think he had more things where he teamed up with Spike than Angel. My favorite ones that come to mind are when he and Spike find out the mystery behind the varsity letter jacket that was causing all of the women to swoon (loved it when they teamed up to steal the jacket!) and when they went to visit Doc in "Weight of the World".

I always thought that Xander secretly had the hots for Angel. That would have explained why he acted so hostile to him. It was all a coverup for his sheer animal lust. I always thought, what with Xander's attraction to demons and such, that these two happy kids would eventually end up together, and I'm still hopeful. They could make almost as hot a couple as...dare I say it?...Buffy and Spike. Almost, but not quite.

Xangel? I like it...:)
Even though Harmony pretty much ensured his emasculation, I bet Xander found it highly stimulating...😀

I agree. Also, in Tabula Rasa when Xander throws "Randy" the stakes lol Those are great scenes.

There is also some scene in 'Spiral'(?) when Giles is inside injured... Spike says something like, "We're all gonna die anyway so let's just split" or something. His hands are all bangaged from grabbing the sword in the RV thing, and he's trying to light a ciggarette and he can't do it and he's really frustrated. Xander gives him a light and I know it's a small moment, but I really liked it.

Also, in 'Intervention' when he is brought home after Glory tortures him, the way Xander says "The guy was so thrashed"...You can tell he genuinely feels bad for Spike. I think he respects him much more knowing he didn't give away whom the Key was to Glory. Maybe he can relate to Spike as he once had a un-requited thing for Buffy.

It seemed like he really warmed to Spike after he received his soul, though. But of course....the events of 'Entropy' kinda ruined that...Even so, he didn't seem to really blame Spike for that ....after his initial reaction, of course.

Angel on the other hand, he never really seemed to like. He never really warmed to him. I don't think he could ever get over Angelus killing Jenny Calender.

It's difficult because it's somewhat circumstancial. Xander's general attitude had eased up by Season 7 and he wasn't still in that jealous, judgemental stage. Xander in the early years was still fresh from, the jealousy over Buffy and Angel, Jesse, everything Angelus did in Season 2 etc.

I'd have to go with Harmony. He has serious, serious personal issues with Angel and Spike; at least he hated Harmony in a more general sense.

I'm not counting Harmony because his hate for her is never really a big issue like it was with Angel and Spike. He hated both of them, for sure, but he hated Angel a lot more. He never really accepted Angel, soul or no soul. The two guys just didn't like each other. Xander and Spike weren't the best of buddies, but they had moments where they got along. And Xander let him live with him for awhile (both with and without a soul). As an earlier poster said, it's hard to say for certain because Xander was a lot more mellow by the show's end but I'd still have to say he hated Angel more.

Harmony, definitely! Sure, he dislike Harmony, but at least he did want to violently murder her, like he wanted to murder Angel and Spike. I think Xander was immature in hating Angel, but with Spike, I understand his hatred. But, yeah, he still hated 'em both. He just disliked Harmony.

In telling Riley about Angel he said apart from Angel turning bad he only had a couple of problems with him, and he was starting to accept Spike's being there.

What was Xanders reaction to Harmony having minions?

As Spike was still there in the end, although there was still the mistrust that Xander had, he accepted Spike more.

Dracula's one of his dearest friends since Drack helped Xander get over Anya's death.

I think if Xander had the physical strength and even a hint of a reason, he'd take out Angel or Spike.
